Our car died on a road trip back from Denver to Atlanta at the truck stop in Ina, IL. We had the car towed to Allsopp and they unfortunately informed us the engine was done for, and we ended up having to pay to ship it back to the dealer in georgia. We were stuck there for about 4 hours waiting for a cab to take us to a car rental 70 miles away, and the guys running the shop were some of the most welcoming and friendly folks I've ever dealt with, even offered us cold bottled water while we waited without us asking, and didn't charge us a penny for the diagnosis. Clearly honest and trustworthy people that made our nightmare situation a little more comfortable. You really don't come across people like this often these days and I can't thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality.

refuses insurance information and stops answering when i request insurance information due to damage to vehicle at time of repair. then asks me to give him a couple days to keep it out of his insurance, and then blocks my number and screens calls , and keeps deleting my review.

There is the old adage about mechanics. My experience with Ben and his garage was quite the opposite. My car was overheating and dripping. Ben quickly diagnosed it and gave me an estimate that wound up being within a few dollars of the actual price. The repair for a new water pump, timing belt and serpentine belt was much lower than I anticipated. I was extremely happy with the quality of the work and will use them again and again. My father has been going there for years and father did know best. Thanks Ben for making my repair as painless as possible
