I'm all about customer service and friendly people in general. The business world can learn a lot by going to Scotty's or really any business in White Hall, IL. Go south from Jacksonville, IL about 30 minutes and look for the classic sign. I hope they never get rid of that sign! Scotty's is small but had everything I needed. The gas pump was probably 20-30+ years old but it worked great. I don't want a gas pump to play commercials and blare music at me because I am standing there hostage. I forgot how nice it was to just look around in silence and think about the road ahead. I also left a pic of BOTH stoplights in town. This isn't to make fun of it but instead to point out what a nice quiet place it still is compared to so many other towns that have been swallowed up by highways. Finally, about the customer service. I was greeted, talked to again, told to have a great day, and smiled at. But the high point was when this nice woman practically tore the defective machine apart in front of me just to get me two cups of hot chocolate. That my friends is customer service. Take a trip to Scotty's and check it out. Just don't count on hot chocolate. LOL?if you like this review. It'll help me do better in the next review.
