First the room where the facial takes place is not fully covered and dark like a spa should be. Light gets through and messes up mood of the relaxing time. Black out curtains would a cheap solution. However, it is important to note that a room where facials are conducted should have a sink and proper product display.Another thing, having equipment that is up to date is important bc the steamer was obviously old and in need of an update, it ticked throughout the entire session. Speaking of updates, other than a clean dedicated facial room with proper display and equipment, a helpful tip would be to ensure your tables are working properly because the one i had did not warm up. New and higher 'below the knees' pad need to be replaced, they are so flat you can barely tell the difference.A quiet room where the vent isn't shaking would nice too. The sound coming was like metal vibrating.I normally go to Vernon Hills, but my normal girl moved somewhere else so i am searching for the new perfect estitician. I really hope that my suggestions above are considered and implemented because the one saving grace was Destiny. She is magnificent! Professional, nice, friendly, knowledgeable. It had a been a long time since ive had a facial or massage where I'm so relaxed i doze off. I will DEFINITELY be back for her services.

I am thrilled that massage envy in wheeling brought on estheticians last july and this one on staff now Destiny is phenomenal, professional, genuine, caring and I have learned so much from this young lady. I get a facial every few weeks , which is so healthy and relaxing they have other services also. If you want to feel and look younger treat yourself to Destiny's stellar talent's!

Do NOT sign up with this location. The lady at the counter told me I wouldn’t have to worry, its so easy to book appointments. Meanwhile, I have to book months out in advanced. I still get charged every month even though I can’t use the credits and was told upfront that if I ever needed to cancel and had over 7 credits I wouldn’t have to worry, they would take care of me and pause my account from getting charged while I could use up my credits. I just called and was basically just told that was a complete lie, they would charge me $20 a month to use up credits. Like why??? If you can’t take me in, why am i getting in essence charged and not be able to use my credits? This is a complete scam stay far away!

I will share my experience as an EX customer. I booked a massage and when I was heading into my session I could smell an awful smell coming from the back door, I asked the front desk about it and they rudely told me to not mind it.. I gave it a few more times let the first one slide but the smell still lingered after many sessions and many months.. I no longer go there for that reason and the terrible customer service.

The people working here are all racist. I walked in to get a Massage only to hear comments about my looks and skin color and weight. I left immediately and tried to contact the owner only for, Jake his name is, to also defend and claim I am in the wrong.. Is this how you run a business? They will belittle you and discriminate against you, does not matter what race you are except white, they WILL mock you for your skin color, background and accent. It is 2023, learn from your disgusting actions.

I booked an appointment and the cashier told me to “add my card on file” and that I would “not be charged” only to charge me $275 worth of a ‘Massage’? I did not ask for nor did I book for? DO NOT GIVE THE FRONT DESK EMPLOYEES YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.

My massage therapist was fantastic. The girl at the front desk is another story. I called 2 hours prior to my appointment to confirm I could add an exfoliating foot treatment to my massage (she said yes). When I arrived, she asked me to checkout for the massage and foot treatment prior to my session (I paid for both). They completely forgot about the treatment and then claimed they ran out of the scrub. Now reading the reviews, I’m not surprised and won’t be coming back.

All in all, a good experience. Tamerra gave a great massage with firm pressure as I had booked, and focused on my shoulders as I’d requested. I also booked an exfoliating foot scrub which they totally forgot about. Of course, they removed the foot scrub from my bill, but I’m surprised they didn’t offer to take me back and do it. Would give 3.5 stars if possible!

I reached out to my local Massage Envy on Tuesday the 3rd following by 530pm massage with Tamara, in Wheeling Illinois. They never got back in touch, so I contacted corporate who forwarded my message. I followed their request on submitting complaints online. Although I foresee getting the same response to my message as all of the other complaints on here, "go to this link", I already did that - and nothing happened.My massage with Tamara was incredibly uncomfortable as she spoke nearly the entire ninety-minute massage, well technically 80 minutes. At first, it seemed they were health related to help better assist with overall wellness, however when she asked about my sleeping habits I responded accordingly. She said the word sleep made her think of a childhood song and proceeded to sing the entire song to me. I have a bad right sciatic and noted that in my massage notes, when I was on the table, she asked me if this was my left side or right side. She then did three minutes tops of stretches to the area. She then spoke about all the local fast-food places she liked and what she recommended. At one point, she asked me if I had tried the bacon cheeseburger at Five Guys. I told her I didn’t eat or like bacon. She then told me I must be allergic, and I need to get a tested. I can detail all of the conversations, but I feel you get the gist. She spoke the ENTIRE time. I understand when people have gas issues, however hers lasted most of the session so there was a foul odor in the room.The massage itself was not good either, I have bruising on my back and arms now. A scar from a mole removal in 2021 is now surrounded by a deep purple. I have had plenty of massages and understand bruising can happen, however it is now Thursday late afternoon, and I am still in a lot of pain. My back hurts more then when I came in.Also, I had to pay AND give gratuity before my shift, so she was tipped the proper 20%. I would have never gone below 15% but asking for me to pay gratuity before I met the person, let alone before my massage is an issue in itself.Someone finally left message based off my survey, not in response into my complaints.Good luck if you go there!
