I've been with West Suburban Bank for 23 years...but since Old Second took over just over 2 weeks ago, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. AWFUL Customer service (when you can get ahold of someone), HORRENDOUS online banking (good luck trying to figure it out, and nobody answers the phone or get's back to you to help), unreliable, and incompetent. How are you people even in business?!?

Since 1999 I enjoyed West Suburban Bank. They cared for me they watched out for me. Old Second National Bank absorb them in 2022 and ruined everything.

I have had problems with this location twice. The first was with inexperienced bankers who didn't know how to close out a simple savings account. While I was there, there was also another person who was having problems with their account.(Red flag!) The second was when my international husband was treated poorly by the staff. He has had no problems at our current bank, only this one.

I’ve had a business banking relationship with this bank for well over a decade and before that my parents did. This bank knows my family very well. I have a checking account with a substantial amount of money in it. Whenever I come to the bank about a financing opportunity, they setup a bunch of hurdles that other banks don’t. It’s a one way street with this bank. They will use your money but they will make it very hard if not impossible to use theirs.

Over this bank. They make up deposite rules as they go along. First I was told in order to not overdraft I was to deposite money within 24 hours. So I deposited it at 11pm and still got an overdraft fee. When I called to complain they told me I am to deposite by 7pm if I use the ATM machine. I understood and this week, I deposited by 6pm. I received another fee!! When I called they said it has to be done by 5pm! So first within 24 hours, then by 7 and now by 5?! They refused to wave my fee!! Last month and this month two unauthorized charges came through. Both times I called to stop the charges and they said they could not stop them. Then, I received overdraft fees for unauthorized charges, in which I called ahead of time!! Don’t bank here, I’ll be closing my account after my next pay check.

I recently started banking with West Suburban and have only had the pleasure of working with Nonita at this point. Excellent service and extremely friendly.

The teller Nonita was so slow. Instead of providing good customer service in a quick and efficient manner, she opted to chat it up with the clients so instead of waiting what should have been four minutes turned into ten, and she proceeded to take her sweet time with me and wouldn't let me leave when I was on my lunch break and doing just a simple cash deposit. I will never deal with that woman again. I was on my lunch break just trying to do a quick deposit and I ended up wasting more time than necessary.

Can't say enough good things about West Suburban Bank and their staff. This facility is rough around the edges at the moment, as it's undergoing renovation, but they're carrying on business as usual. Friendly, thorough and professional service, especially with personal bankers like Christina F. and branch managers like Pria. This is a family owned bank, and has been so since its inception in 1962, and it's got that feel: friendly and humanistic! Hours are good, fees are fair, and staff is friendly - it's a winner all 'round in my book.

West Suburban Bank is responsive to my banking needs. Their service at physical locations is fast and accurate and their on-line presence is easy to work with. I highly recommend this Bank!
