A majority of these reviews are years & years out of date. I have been going here since beginning of July 2023, & the new Clinical Director, Marissa, along with basically all the other counselors had just started themselves a few months prior. Marissa is also my individual counselor & is incredible, & since she chooses the other counselors- they’re all incredible in their own. They all have different personalities & therapy styles, so you’re guaranteed to find one you click well with. There have been a couple secretary changes, but they’ve all been so kind & welcoming, Jackie is the current one & she is so sweet! Also big shoutout to the nurses, there have been a couple that left for personal job/studying reasons- but Amy & Estefany have both been there since I’ve started, & their kindness absolutely makes it easier having to go so early, everyday.? I would 100% recommend anyone looking to seriously change their lives to give this place a shot! All treatment plans are completely individualized- you make a new one every month with your counselor. They offer all kinds of MAT(Methadone, Suboxone, Vivitrol shot), Group Therapy(IOP & Outpatient), 1:1 Therapy(once a week or twice a month).?

We did some work for the owner. This company is highly reputable. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in this field. I would highly recommend this company.

What people don't understand. That the owner of this methadone clinic has it as a private clinic. What does that mean? That means if the owner doesn't like you or if the owner's son doesn't like you she can kick you out of the program immediately no questions asked
. She is not doing this out of the kindness of her heart. She is doing this because it is a business and she makes a lot of money. Let me repeat she makes a lot of money on people going there to be on methadone. She considers the 2 minutes you're at the nurses station,, and then charges the insurance company thousands and thousands of dollars. I feel bad for every single patient that goes there. Let's see how long this post actually last before cookie for her son take it down. Unless it's a positive comment they don't want people to tell the truth on here

I was a patient here for 6 years saw several I mean several nurses ,Dr's and counslers come and go. Long story short they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. I have in last 3 months detoured 24 people from going to this facility. If I would have stayed on the poison I would be dead today no questions . 2 years off that poison

I’m fairly new and have had a great experience thus far. Today I was asked to provide my urine for the first time and noticed two cameras in the bathroom. When I asked my counselor she explained the camera is installed to monitor those providing their urine. Normally a counselor or staff member watches you drop in a cup at clinics or probation and rehab. I was floored to see this as it seems illegal. There is a small sign on the back of the door that says “video recording in progress” but other than that, It was not ever disclosed during my intake or counseling sessions that I will be recorded in the bathroom. I’ve used that bathroom a few times but today was the first time that I provided my urine. Which means I was being recorded even though I wasn’t proving a urine sample and therefore no monitoring was necessary. In today’s society, it’s fairly easy to infiltrate a business and banks and credit card companies have their information stolen all the time. If anyone were to get in their system and steal info, they’d have access to bathroom recordings and they can easily end up on the internet. I plan to do everything in my power to stop this. It makes me nauseous even knowing about this

Every single Methadone clinic should model it’s approach to patient respect after Stonybrook Center. The people I’ve interacted with who work there have each gone out of their way to be sensitive and caring towards myself and other patients I’ve spoken with. The important thing is, if you follow the SIMPLE rules laid out for patients and have a real desire to get out from underneath all the pressure and stress of an opiate addiction then this is a really good place to turn. You have to be ready for a change tho

It took me over a year to finally get to the dose I needed to be. For a while I was still using because of the dose but wouldn't get to go up because of the using. The Dr. Finally stepped in and raised it to where I wanted to be. Dr. Neeb has been Great. Nurses are great as well, better if your doing what your supposed to be. I think the owner is all about profits. Who goes by cookie? That's something I'd hear using lol

I've been a patient for over 7 yrs. The facility is very clean and the staff is amazing. Since at stony brook I regained custody of my daughter and have held the same full-time job for 6.5 yrs.I am now married and live on my own . They have given me the tools to live sober and how to move forward from my 12 yrs addiction to heroin. The cameras in the bathroom is nothing compared to what I did in my addiction. I rather have a camera than a person stand in there. The cost is alot less than I'd pay for my habit as soon as I got insured I was approved in 72 hrs. EDIT:: Since the pandemic my counselor has done an amazing job making sure I know I can always reach out at anytime to have a quick session via phone or zoom. Its reassuring to know I have ppl who keep my mental health in mind now more than ever

I have been a consistent patient at Stoneybrook for the past 15 months. They take all kinds of Medicaid/State Insurance. I have Aetna and there's been no problems. Intake is a pain, lots of paperwork and meetings with different staff members...takes about 3-4 hours. Everyone starts at 30mg and you can increase by 10mgs every third day. It took me about 4 weeks to get to my preferred daily dose of 90mg.In the beginning you have to go to the clinic 6 days a week with a Sunday take home until you drop clean 4 times in a row....drug tests are randomly selected twice a month. So you just have to have the strength to make it through the first 2-3 months before you get in a steady routine. After 4 clean drops you only have to go three times a week and if you keep staying clean you can eventually go just twice a month and get 14 carries at a time! The counselors change pretty often, I've had 3 in the past year and a half and didn't like any of them but its close to me and they do want to see people get better.

I was gonna leave a very detailed negative experience but I think you knowing that going they three counselors four doctors and three sets of nurses is clue enough. I will say that one counselor at this place is like robin Williams character in good will hunting. He used to lead IOP groups that were the best I’ve ever been to. I actually looked forward to going. I’ll take that back I loved going. It’s sad he isn’t running that place I feel things would be healthier there.( you wouldn’t be able to test positive for opiates for two years without any repercussions). So ya my time here was full of unknowns and people generally not knowing what was going on. Oh and the occasional guy trying to buy my methadone from me.
