On 11/6/24 I greeted cashier Jacob G. with nothing but respect even asking him how he was and I was met with rude statements about not paying with card and he could check me out only because he had a draw in his register but I should pay attention next time. This actually came to no surprise to me considering while working with him at Whole Foods right behind this store he created a hostile work environment. On top of this he almost gave me more change than I was due so maybe grocery store jobs aren’t for him. It costs $0 to be nice especially after day America is facing.

I'm a big fan of their hot bar. Excellent choice of foods. The best hot bar around. And with employees like Carmen and Elizabeth always being courteous and friendly with customers makes me want to return for more.

Huge selection of items and very fresh. They even have a juice bar, a sushi area, they have personal pizzas they cook up for you, a hot bar,salad bar, international foods, and loads of vegetarian & vegan. Employees have been helpful if you need help locating an item. Highly recommend.

Love it here!! I like it way better than Whole Foods.
Situated literally behind/next to a Whole Foods. I used to go to WF because I wasn’t all the familiar with Pete’s. A colleague put me onto it and I’m always impressed each time I walk in.
The hot food and salad bar is bigger and better imho. There’s more to eat and more to eat that’s also Gluten and Dairy friendly.
The service is also nice. I’m always greeted.
Their cafe is nicer too.
Boom. That’s it.
10/10 recommend.

I hit several Pete's while in the Chicago area. All of them were nicely kept with unbelievably good food options. Clean, modem with pleasant staff. My favorite market.

Pete’s is our go-to grocery every weekend even though we live 25 miles away and pass many others. Reasonable prices, great produce and phenomenal homemade Italian sausage and pub burgers. Steaks are also a must buy.

It's one of the best grocery stores in the area. The staff is always helpful. The deli is amazing. I love the cheese selection. It is out of this world amazing. The bakery, can we talk about the cookies, the cakes, and the donuts. Omg amazing can't describe how fresh it all is. But the ready cooked food is also great and it is priced great so everyone can afford it. I love the pizza, and I love the fried and greek chicken they make. If the manager sees this posting I just want them to know that im grateful for the service and quality you bring. Every time I am in your store, all the employees treat me as if I were family. Thank you for such a great experience.

I've been a regular at this place for a few years - back when some great local beers on tap were $2 (I know right?) and you could even drink them on the outdoor patio. Although their night shift bartenders have always been hit or miss (mostly miss), they FINALLY got a great one - a cute, funny, friendly girl named Carmen who everyone seems to like (me too).
I've been noticing more & more regulars who come to see her - something every bar hopes for - so I don't think I'm the only one who likes her style. And if she does a little harmless flirting here & that makes me laugh, so what? Isn't making customers feel special part of being a good bartender? I know I enjoy seeing someone who actually knows my name when I show up. So as long as the beers are cold and the vibe is warm, I'm a happy happy clam.
