My 15 year old bi-racial son was chased down/ harassed by the older Caucasian man that works here.My son went into the gas station and paid for my gas while his grandma and I waited in the car. My son started to pump the gas (my son is a gentleman and enjoys pumping gas for us so that we don’t have to get out of the car.)A moment later an angry man stomps out to our pump and demands my sons age. I asked the attendant if there was a problem. The man yelled that it was illegal for my son to pump gas. I informed him that he is permit driving age and there is no law saying he couldn’t pump gas. He told us we need to leave.I called Wheaton police, explaining what happened, and asked the off-duty officer if there were any laws or ordinances against a 15 year old pumping gas in Wheaton. The officer informed us that there were no laws against it. He added, “they encourage teenagers that are learning how to drive to pump gas with adult supervision, so that they may learn how to safely fuel a vehicle.” The officer suggested that we not go back to that particular gas station. This man verbally attacked my son and I. Although I would like to believe that this wasn’t racially motivated, something in my heart is telling me that he had it out for my son because he is black.I pray for discrimination to end. We are all children of God. May God Un-harden this man’s heart and give him the peace he needs to be kinder to people of all races and ages.

I urge you to avoid this gas station entirely if you are a woman or disabled. (Based on other reviews BIPOC should avoid as well.)I went in to politely ask for change for a $20. (I needed a $5 for my girl scout troop and the bank only had $20s).Rather than just saying "No" and moving on, the man inside repeatedly demanded I remove my mask. I motioned towards my visible medical devices and said that I could not remove my mask for my safety. He seemed very frustrated that I would not remove it.He repeatedly demanded that I repeat myself, yelling in my face that I'm making no sense. He said that I'm d*** and don't know how to break a $20. I apologized for being unclear and kept repeating my request, making sure not to yell back. He yelled in my face that he is not a bank. At this point I was holding back tears so I apologized and went back to my car. He continued yelling as I walked out the door but I'm unsure what he said.HE FOLLOWED ME TO MY CAR.I am so grateful that my husband was with me because I am so afraid of what he would have done to me had I been alone. He argued with my husband in the parking lot and my husband told him he needs to be kinder to women and that our children witnessed his actions. Again, it is much safer to chooae the Casey's down the road.

Very rude causation old man I stopped at this gas station to use the restroom. There is a door with signs posted men/women restroom but he said it was not a public bathroom. As a lady that I am, I was very polite to ask if I can use it I had been driving for a couple hours and he said he was going to remember my face if I dirty the bathroom because women are are the filthiest when they have used his restroom. I politely said thank you and never mind would want you to be upset. So I left but he was very prejudice and woman hater. It’s unfortunate that older bitter men have no manners. This was in Wheaton a town I have never been in and never hope to come back. I can’t imagine what this suburban man thinks of outsiders. Sad situation.

That old white Santa Claus looking man flipped out at my wife because she asked to break a 20. He acted like he couldn't hear her cause she was wearing a mask and demanded she take it off. He heard me just fine with my mask on so I know he's full of it. Harassing women is not okay and to change your song and dance when a guy comes out of the car is pathetic and weak. Don't go here if you're not white and not male because you'll get treated less than acceptable.

Really nice staff and good food and drinks to buy inside, but their gas prices are usually higher than other nearby gas stations.

Awful! I got SCREAMED at by the employee working there for wearing a mask. He claimed he could not see my face to look at my ID and demanded "double blinded research proof" that masks work. Illinois has a mask mandate and I am a nurse in scrubs! He verbally assaulted and intimated me for following the rules. Terrible.

ownership is unprincipled; only requesting face masks during pandemic, INCLUDING their employees (who told me they were "optional", only after I noticed the cashier not wearing one). they have a plastic shield up, but the cashier room is small; another case of freeloading on others to do the right thing--most customers wear masks, but EMPLOYEES are not req'd...so they are piggybacking on others' good graces to keep THEM safe. I didn't realize it until one day when one employee was not wearing one. when asked, he said it was optional.I will be taking my business elsewhere and my friends will follow. their prices are higher than others anyway; I only took my business there because they had free air (which is unusual these days), and I thought that was a good thing to encourage as a principle. now, principles regarding mask-wearing in a health pandemic outweigh that advantage.the owner Warren wouldn't even let me finish w/my rebuttal of his policy, saying "okay, you've talked enough now!" how rude! I have come to realize that other reviews on their obnoxious and rude behavior is likely quite accurate. I would encourage consumers to drive on by...

I went there to buy gas. I had to use the bathroom really bad. I guess I was in the bathroom too long and the owner kept bounding on the door and said if I needed to use the bathroom I should have gone across the street at the park because the bathroom was for paying customers. Is buying gas not a paying customer? Very unprofessional especially when I really had to use the bathroom and was being courteous to actually buy gas there.

Don’t go here unless you want to be OVERCHARGED. I paid $56.00 for a tire patch. Supplies were $1.08, so it all went to labor. LOST my business. ?
