This company does not stand behind its word.a salesperson in a nutrition supplement store like GNC doesn't automatically qualify someone to provide professional nutritional advice. Here are the ways GNC violate Illinois' licensure requirements:Providing Specific Dietary Plans: If a clerk starts advising customers on specific dietary plans, they may be encroaching on the domain of licensed dietitians. For example, suggesting precise meal plans or recommending certain supplements in place of meals could be seen as providing dietary advice. They do this all the time. Tell old people to buy things that they do t need, sell useless test boosters and tell customers that this “is safer than steroids but almost as effective.” Got that on video GNC.

These clerks run afoul of Illinois law and should be investigated. Only licensed healthcare professionals should diagnose health conditions or nutritional deficiencies. The clerk's are always pseudo-diagnosing customers based on the symptoms they share, this is problematic and most likely an illegal.

Terrible experience. I spoke with GNC on the customer phone, and they stated you could return to any GNC store. I brought the paperwork in the store, and manager stated he could not help at all, and had no idea how to do the return. Kept pushing me off to go to another store. Then he said I could come back Monday and he could call customer service. Super frustrating, and I would not recommend going to this store, when you have inexperienced managers running a shop. Stay away!

Purchased a product online, GNC.com. Was told by an associate when I called the store they would be able to accept my return for a refund. Since this was not my local store needed to drive 30 mins out of the way about 10 miles out and be late to a holiday party with friends. As the associate assured me they would be able to take my return I wanted to make good on their words and drive in. The associate I spoke with had left for the day and another associate processed the return some how, however it was less than what I paid for online, by more than 10%. They called the store owner who advised them of a way it sounded like to process the return, however in the end, the rep advised me they could not process the return now, even though he did it initially somehow. The associate then asked if I wanted to speak to the owner, so he called him from his personal phone. Spoke to the owner explained to him the situation and what I was "told" which prompted me to drive up there, and the owner's response was, I'm not responsible for what the associate said, and I repeated as the owner of this store, they report to you and work for you, it's not your responsibility correct? His response, I was not there so it's not my responsibility. BEWARE of this store and all the locations owned by this owner. If it is not from one of his store they will not help you. Also if an associate tells you something incorrect, IT'S NOT HIS RESPONSIBLITY either. For someone who owns a store YOU ARE responsible for all the people that work there. They REPORT TO YOU! YOU ARE AT THE TOP OF THE CHAIN. I feel terrible for any associate who works their, because the "store owner" "YOUR BOSS" will not back you up what so ever! They will not have your back. This is a perfect example of a BOSS not a LEADER. If you can't backup an associate who said something incorrectly, possibly not knowingly, and you're willing to throw them under the bus and say it's not your responsibility, that's a terrible management and just sad as an owner representing a nationwide company. Will NEVER buy from GNC ever again, not worth the headache.

This place is a joke. Have gone on 3 separate occasions during their normal business hours and doors were locked store closed. Find another GNC in the area.

Showed up 30 minutes before 8PM, the "OPEN" sign was on but the door was locked. Employees leaving work early. Not cool....

Getting back into the gym and decided to try out some supplements. Adam was very knowledgeable and pointed me in the right direction. He gave me recommendations for a leaner whey protein powder thats effective for recovery and muscle gain, and a great all in one pre workout.

Great experience with the employee at this location. He greeted me and assisted me in finding a few vitamins I was looking for. He also made me aware of the sales they have going on. He was also dissinfecting the counter and door handles in between every customer which really put my mind at ease. I will DEFINITELY be back!

Had a great experience with the employee at the desk. He assisted me with finding a few vitamins I was looking for and let me know about the sale they were having. The store was very clean and they were disinfecting the counter and door handles in between every customer! Will definitely be back
