I have been taking my pets to VCA West Suburban for a number of years and have always been very satisfied with the service, the vets, and all their employees. This past Friday, however, was my first visit with Dr. Kayson with my Great Dane, Ivy. I just want to say thank you to Dr. Kayson for his caring, compassion, thoroughness, and sensitivity, in addition to how gentle and caring he was with Ivy. Sadly, in spite of efforts to diagnose the cause of Ivy's seizure, we lost her very suddenly the next day. Dr. Kayson called me this morning to express his deepest condolences and to discuss what may have happened. I can't recommend VCA West Suburban enough, but especially Dr. Kayson.

Our pup, Burnham (famed armpit smelling dog) passed away, suddenly late Christmas Day 2023 at 12 1/2 years old. He had Dr. Muehrke when he was a pup for few years and then Dr. Vidt. Later, he had his last 5+years with Dr. McCallian. All doctors are incredible, but Dr. McCallian was outstanding. Our new pup, Cooper (rescued from Kentucky with twelve siblings) we had planned to see Dr. McCallian but he was on maternity leave with his wife, so we saw Dr. Kayson--another fabulous experience. He was great with Cooper and made him feel very comfortable. He explained all questions we had plus provided us with a plethora of information (haven't had a pup in 12 1/2 years) --which was very helpful, thus far. We have never had a bad experience with anyone--including the front desk and techs. I highly recommend them to everyone! Thanks for continuing excellent care for our pups over almost 14 years. You are all much appreciated always.

My first time there with my dog.They treated me like a welcomed guest.The vet tech came in and got down on the floor with my dog to gain his trust .She really amazed me !Then Dr. Zary came in and my dog totally fell in love with him.He has a great connection with animals and they can feel it .I appreciate that. He answered all my questions, and I felt much more confident going forward in my dog's treatment.

Great Doctors and staff, they love your pets like they love their own. The most compassionate, caring people in the business! They even see exotic pets!

Dr. Kayson is a caring and kind vet who provided excellent surgical and overall treatment for our Cavalier. His knowledge and communications skills are thorough and thoughtful, exactly what I needed given our medical situation.

First let me say, I am the harshest critic of vets. I had been through several before we found Dr McCallion at VCA. Scrappy our terrier mix had weird bruising on his abdomen and I sent over some pictures and he was seen immediately. He had almost no platelets in his blood and Dr McCallion helped me navigate this scary time in my dogs life. He spent lots of time talking with me and addressing all my concerns as scrappy was having a lot of negative side effects. He went above and beyond for our family. Scrappy is doing much better and we are on the way for him to be back to his normal self. Our other dog Bessie has been there a few times too and she loves everyone that works there. Very happy to have found such a great vet!!! It's a great practice that truly cares about dogs

If you like to talk with assistants without the authority to do much other than tell you to do what any animal owner already knows... If you want a test with a determination that is never communicated (but the bill arrives almost instantaneously)... If you want to have assistants "observe" your pet for costs but never see a doctor / vet... If you want to wait 3/4 weeks for an appointment when your dog is ill... If you want to go to them for 35 years with multiple animals and (now) NEVER engage with a licensed vet... THIS is the office for you! Ruined by VCA buyout.

VCA West Suburban Vet has been exceptional. Since we moved to the area in 2018 Dr. Zary and his team have been nothing but compassionate, professional and so caring for our senior dog. When it came time to euthanize him at 15 years old, Dr. Zary and his assistant Katie showed so much love and compassion towards our dog and us. We are forever grateful to have found such a loving veterinarian. Truly the best practice.

As a prior resident of Westmont, I've been going there for 15 plus years. We moved from westmont 3 years ago, about an hr away.... tried local vets several times over the first year. Doesn"t compare to West Suburban. We have returned for the last 2 yrs. This is the best Veterinarian Practice anywhere around. We will continue going to this Practice, even though we have to travel an hour to get there!!! Highly recommended!!
