I used this company 3 times and only once encountered a good outcome. They take your collection and do not consult with you prior to auction what estimate or description is placed on it. My last auction was not scheduled until November, and all of a sudden, it was already up in August without notice. There is no way to pull your collection if it is going to be sold at below bottom prices. I had rare stamps that individually were worth more than the whole collection went for! If you want to literally give your collections away, have this auction house sell it. I was astonished and shocked at what I received after the pathetic description they placed when auctioned. I even went back to take a portfolio out that was very valuable and was denied , even though it was over two months before the auction. I will never use these people or recommend them as a way to liquidate your precious stamp collections. Color me furious and devastatedly numb!

Among the many philatelic (stamp) auction houses Rasdale is a standout.Their auction catalogues are worth the price of admission: lively and well written with just the right touch of humor. Even if you don't participatethey are a delight to read. I've successfully acquired many choice items fromthem. And if you are selling (far too common these days) you can rest assured their mid-western values and character will guide you painlessly.Whether you are perusing their extensive catalogue for elusive items for your collection, or selling dad's (or grandpa's) cherished stamp albums I cannot recommend them highly enough. PS-why don't you keep one of your father's albums for yourself? I think the kids would love pouring over it!

Rasdale is a stamp and other collectibles auction house open to the public but requiring registration. Auctions occur once per quarter

Do not do business at any cost . do not give them your stamp lot to sell. You are better off throwing it in the garbage.Auctioned off 800 plus pounds of stamps in over 27 cartons with over 250 albums full to semifull for 2300. And the worst part had the nerve to send a check for 18 something after deducting 400 something as 20% commission. I feel absolutely horrible. Whoever got it got a deal of a century . hopefully they realize it . shame the way they describe and with no reserve. I clearly had instructed them where I wanted it to see it go.

We have known the Rasdale family going back into the 1940s with their roots in Central Michigan. Our father dealt with the founder of the business and subsequently his sons Jim and Dick. We personally have done business with them for 40+ years because of the high level of integrity and the fact that they pay their consignors like clockwork unlike many auction firms that have collapsed. If you are looking for an auction firm you can trust I would highly recommend them.

I inherited a large stamp collection, and wanted to find out how much it was worth. I filled out their online form, so someone could get back to me. A week and a half passed without an answer, so I emailed Kim with a description of my collection. She answered me with one very brief, confusing sentence. I emailed her back, asking if she could explain a bit more, and no response. I'm assuming my collection isn't worth that much, so they didn't want to bother with me. Very rude.

Kim has been a pleasure to work with. Rasdale's stands for quality, integrity and responsiveness in my eyes. I would recommend them to the moon and back.
