This is the worst bank my wife and ever used although just 3 banks in our 69 yrs on earth! Been locked out of our on line banking for days and spent hrs after WAITING HOURS FOR THEN TO ANSWER THE PHONE and HEARTLAND EMPLOYEES COULD NOT FIX IT This rural bank company is way less then rural! The bank is a third world type of bank

Heartland bank and trust is a bank for old people, don’t use it if you’re under 50. Let me tell you why:I had a secondary account with them that was well over 10 years old, had everything automated and running smoothly. Then, I made a mistake and the account was over drafted. After a few months, they canceled my account and sent it to collections, the amount I owed was under $350. I contacted them to ask what happened and they said they sent me notices in the mail that I didn’t respond to. They didn’t text or call, they thought that mail was the right answer to how to get a hold of someone, well they had an old address.So just to reiterate, this bank is a bank for old people. Old people love it but if you’re not old, don’t use it.

This place is a joke. I have 3 accounts them and have been actively at this bank for 6 years. They don't care about their clients. They'll only give you half the info then claim they did say it, have no overdraft protection or notification system and will continue to suck as much money in fees out of you as possible. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hell hole.

I had to phone you to find out if you received and posted my deposit. Still haven’t received receipt from you.Not even one kind word from teller—not even “hi” or “bye”—glad to see a long time customer is appreciated.

Terrible mistake by two staff members caused a tax penalty. No responses, incorrect information and lack of caring on a simple transaction that most bank handle easily. Closed my accounts, there are much better banking choices.

Saturday manager ...HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE immediate rejection and rudeness because the memo line was written next to name. Its clearly obvious it’s not a business and a mistake. I just cashed a check over a week ago written same way no problem. The lady just discriminated me for some reason didn’t even bother to help or google it or even contact their own client to verify check that’s been their client for prob 50 years I immediately called Plainfield branch and they were super helpful and got it taken care of. I don’t know what the managers problem was at western springs branch but she was mean and rude her whole demeanor was off she talked down to me from the start like I was garbage. Sad part is the teller knows the checks good. But they didn’t wanna take a risk cashing it which clearly says something else.

I drove through 29 minutes of rush hour traffic to make it to my local branch (should have taken 10) close to closing time (4:46 ish). The men in the office said that "we close at 5, and all the bankers have already left. We open at 9 tomorrow?" Besides the tellers, who were open for business, there were at least 2 men sitting in their cubicle offices. Your accounts look great on paper, and I would have loved to have opened one, but that attitude tells me you have too many customers and don't need anymore.

This bank has the best customer service around. I decided to open a business checking here because it was $0 down and 0 minimum balance. I have been completely satisfied with all of their policies and they have extremely good customer service. I would definitely recommend this bank is the best bank in the Western Springs and LaGrange Illinois area.
