Every time I walk in I pray I don't have a customer service issue. I need to learn better. I had yet another one today and I'm officially tired of the incredibly poor treatment given by a few bad apples at Clever Girl. They ruin the experience of the whole store. Today the blonde at the counter LITERALLY refused to apologize for the inconvenience of having to return an item twice for breaking. I was too hard on the item - I get that. But that doesn't mean you need to actually tell me I don't warrant an "I'm sorry this didn't work out for you" or "Im sorry you needed to make two trips here and we couldn't find a solution for you". I had to ask her a second time for an apology to which she finally said I'm sorry and even my 10 year old son said "wow mom, she was really snotty". I just need to learn that cute aprons and candles aren't worth being treated poorly.

What a treat! First of all, this store is sooooooo cute! It is every girly-girls dream come true! A colleague introduced me to Clever Girl three years ago and every time I have gone in, I have found something that I have fallen in love with. What I love about Clever girl, besides the fact that it's a mini-department store is that they truly strive to curate items that are stylish (without being too trendy), unique and budget friendly. At Clever Girl, you can find women's clothing, accessories (I saw the same enamel bangels featured in "O" Magazine here in some of the most tempting summer colors), items for the home ( the best smelling candles ever), and baby items. You will also find a great selection of greeting cards, other stationary items and exciting odds and ends here. The selection is always changing and it feels like a new store every time I have walked in. And when I leave with my purchases in hand, I always feel like a clever girl ;).

I used to visit this store when it was the French Connection and it was absolutely delightful. I have since moved to LA, but I recently contacted the owner to ask about a product they used to carry, and she replied so quickly with information that I had not been able to find anywhere. Thanks to these lovely people, I found just what I needed, and when I am back in the area, I will have to swing by their new place. :)
