Terrible branch, doesn't car about their customers at all. It took me 5 hours and probably 200 calls to get someone to answer the phone. They never signed the cashier's check that was issued, making the check basically worthless. I live 2 hours away and used the check to purchase a vehicle. The dealer offered to drive the check out there (it was made out to them) and have it signed but the manager said I would to come. Didn't bother to apologize. Will be pulling all my accounts with Wells Fargo.

Security guard was nice and welcoming, the tellers aren’t helpful, don’t give you options, are very defensive when answering questions or just say sorry I can’t help you with that but don’t even refer you to who can. Maybe they are new . Idk poor service always a line so got there 30 minutes before they open and all employees have parked in the small parking lot so only a couple of parking spots near the actual branch. Last time I came I. Had to park by the other businesses near by and walk there only to end up waiting in line for over 30min..

Awful customer service. Went to today during regular business hours to open a new account and told no one there could help me. Not even an apology. Guess they don’t need any more money.

Teller made a mistake on a last name for a cashiers check , manager refused to cancel it and re-issue . Bank statement did NOT showed that last name teller used . Uneducated manager offered a letter which he refused after because he was "limited". Unknowledgeable and unqualified workers offered to HAND WRITE the correct last name with pen, when cashiers check CANNOT be altered. A letter by a "sales" person was printed that ONLY indicates he is the owner of the account. Ineptitude level absolutely ridiculous. No wonder they are going down. Going to JP Chase.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The branch manager he is so rude and profiling people. I tried to deposit my tax check barely $7500 and take $2500 cash. He didn’t give me a chance in he** he over spoke the young lady handling my check speaking for her he said no money would be available and that there would be a hold on the check for 10 days. Ok cool they gone hold some of it would be fine for me I get a decent direct deposit monthly. So I’m flabbergasted that I can’t get a dime at the bank who handle my money for a few years now. I’m waiting on my other bank account to make all my money available and I’m gone transfer it to Wells Fargo and walk in and close my account. Since he said that it was fine if I closed it when I said I don’t know if I want to bank here I will be walking away from this bank yes easy account to get but the bank inside is ? and he just mad he gotta work tight clothes wearN azz!!!

Today when I was there cashing a check there was a woman who's bank account had been flag as fraudulently hacked. She couldn't use her debit card or access on line banking. She had talked to someone at the Wells Fargo 800 number and they told her to go to a branch. So there she was and the teller and manager would not help her because she didn't have an appointment. Come on! Someone should have been able to help her. The manager was telling her to go to another branch. What terrible customer service! I hope she closed her account and went to a different bank.

jerks! all of them! i tried to apply for a credit card that they invited me to apply for through my email. well, they must've realized i had an ira roth account, but it wasn't good enough to establish my identity and they won't give me a card, because they claim some credit bureau said i had a different cell number! i faxed them my documents, and they said they couldn't see my face on my id!

If I could pick the name disaster for this branch I would. I live an hour away it was a big deal for me to come to the branch to close my accounts and the banker never signs the check and I have to make another trip because of her carelessness. No one ever answers the phone.SHUT DOWN THIS BRANCH

Horribly managed! No organization, long waits, just ridiculous! I had an appointment and still had to wait in a long line, no sign-up sheet, waited 30 minutes with an appointment, just poor experience all around. #Sad

Can't speak for the bank, but apply for a credit card? The process is grueling and the information they want: copies of your drivers license, verify your address, etc., etc. Guess Experian, Transunion and other credit service information is not good enough.

I've had a checking account with Wells Fargo for over 15 years. There should be at the least be an ATM in Northwest Indiana. There's no Wells Fargo bank or Wells Fargo ATM in Northwest Indiana, and you closed the Wells Fargo branch that was in Laporte, Indiana. I hope you change the Wells Fargo Advisors location in Merrillville Indiana to a Wells Fargo bank branch. It is very much needed.
