Always check your food's expiration dates. I've bought a lot of food from this store in particular that is out of date. I remembered to check today while shopping and had to put some of the yogurt I was buying back. Why do they sell food that's expired? Bought marshmallows that were 5 months expired from this store one time. Told the employees it was expired. They continued to sell it. Go to Marion Kroger if you can help it, they SEEM to have better standards than Frankfort Kroger at least

I want to share with you the reason for the low score. I hope by commenting here - this store will implement change (regardless of the larger corporate policy).
I wish I had realized the situation around me sooner. I'm older, and with ADHD, I get stressed during checkout. After the fact, the man left so quickly I could not intervene. I wish I had done it sooner.
Kroger has the buy 5 or more discount, and I get it - on a corporate level, this is to encourage multiple sales. And for you unaware, the buy 5 discount does not mean you need 5 of that one item - but 5 of any items on the buy 5 or more list.
While checking out yesterday, a man approached the self-checkout with a loaf of bread and 2 (1/2 gallons) of milk. The 1/2 gallons were part of the buy 5 or more deal.
He asked the checkout lady to help him get the lower price. She told him she could not and mentioned she had done it for him prior.
I think she missed the picture. It wasn't a man with a cart of groceries who didn't meet the coupon requirements. It was a man with a loaf of bread and more or less, a gallon of milk. Surely she could see the need. The difference of being denied a break on the coupon meant he couldn't buy the milk and bread.
I barely had $10 left to my name, but if I had been able to realize what was happening in front of me sooner, I would have spent my last $10 to get his milk and bread.
I am writing this specifically to the management of Kroger's in West Frankfort. The store does a lot for the local population by regularly marking down food. I know Kroger has a policy to feed the hungry.
I would like to see West Frankfort Kroger management approve their cashiers' to be more flexible on coupon policy when they can see this obvious need, so that they can better feed those who support your store overall. The man may have been struggling that day, but most likely - despite poverty - he regularly spends his grocery money at your location. I know corporate policies can be a guide, but individual stores can be appropriately flexible to help maintain the community that keeps them open.
Thank you.

Great grocery store with deli. The checkout employees are fantastic and they even bag your groceries and place them in the cart for you.

The staff at the West Frankfort Kroger store are always kind, courteous and there to lend a helping hand! The store is always clean and the produce fresh. I really do wish that they carried more organic vegetables but I totally understand that they supply products based on what the majority of people are purchasing. I'm just really glad that they have some organic veggies at all. I love my West Frankfort Kroger store and highly recommend that you pay them a visit!!!

The Kroger app for delivery is horrible, if I could give it a have rating I would. Kroger 800 customer service is beyond the worst I've ever experienced. The Kroger chat gal Pritney was absolutely worthless, no help at all. Kroger, you truly do suck

Think the young man name is Joe but I just wanted to say thank you for bringing out my bag of chips 1/14/24 that was left out of my cart. It was cold out too. (Young man with dark hair)

All your grocery needs are met here. I shop here all the time. Nice clean store friendly employees and always a bargain to be had. If you want to save on certain grocery items get there when they open, there are always lots of marked-down items from the bakery, deli, refrigerated area, and the meat department. They run a weekly advert and there are always savings to be had. They even have digital coupons for you to scan. The best advice is to download the Kroger app.

Check expiration dates before you put an item in your cart, because the staff sure doesn’t! I’ve probably spent over $100 on items that I’ve just had to throw away within the past couple of months.

This store has seen better days. Sections are often closed because of water leaks. Front desk services also closed on occasion because of roof leaking. Lot of staff turn overs. Not a lot on selection. Lots of one thing or one brand. And now I get introduced to who my bagger is going to be? This a joke? I'll make the 8 mile drive for better selection and service.

I was at self-checkout and stood there for 10 minutes while Genny I think her name was stood and talked to another employee when I needed assistance at my register for exceeding a certain amount of items. She never offered to scan my sodas like every other employee has when I have previously been at self-checkout. Not to mention she smelled like b.o when she finally did help me.
