Only place to still have solar eclipse glasses 2 hours before the start of the eclipse. Line was 50-60 deep, non-stop. Cheap at 5 bucks for 2 pairs. Thanks for having inventory, and not ripping public off!!!

As always, a great and fun place to find things you won't find anywhere else, or if you do, its a lot cheaper at American Science & Surplus. Hilarious signs too. Gotta see it.

Overrun with people seeking eclipse glasses while I had other wants. Unencumbered, I wandered the dozen aisles and scoured every shelf and $140 later I left with over 40 gifts. Stuff for all ages. Useful items and quirky items.

Do you need science? Jonesing for some surplus? Then you've found the right place! An added benefit is the super friendly employees. Today I visited this store for the first time in... many years... and I feel SO BAD for staying away for so long. I love looking through all of the different aisles of unique products!!! I can easily spend an hour here just looking at everything... and adding too many things to my basket. The workers are so nice, they'll offer to take your heavy basket from you so that you can keep shopping!!! My final total today was $111.11!!!!!!!!! I GLADLY PAID EVERY PENNY BECAUSE I LOVE THE PRICE. I can't stress enough how amazing the employees are in this store. Seriously. Everyone deserves a raise

I absolutely loved shopping here! You can find unique gift ideas and gadgets for projects. This is a perfect place for anyone looking for creativity. They have hand written prices with little pictures that made my day. I recommend!

Hands down one of the best stores in all of Chicagoland. Unique, full of strange odds and ends, and good prices. New science experiments for all ages, used military goods (ie WWII gas masks), electronics, etc. I even found a nice telescope here. Its a strange place to just visit, even if you dont buy anything. And the staff were always kind, too, which is a plus. Go visit!

Had a great experience browsing the range of electronic hardware available (amongst the variety of other interesting finds).Bought a number of vacuum tubes that I needed for my vinyl setup and they're working well! Would definitely visit their other locations in the future.
