Wonderful place except for the receptionists that work up front they treat people like the ground they walk on & will pick an argument with clients , then tell management the clients started it all .

I applied for rent assistance with a 5 day notice July 20th I understand I was told fund's are low however when I sent an email a week or so ago I was told my application HASN'T EVEN been looked at. This is tragic because the people who REALLY need help they can't get it or get put off. This is a 5 day notice you have to respond within the 5 days or eviction proceedings will start. How is this NOT A PIORITY?

The first time I apply for energy assistance at this place the lady that help me was nice and help me with $ 1000 for my gas bill! The second time they were rude and even though my income was even lower and big proof of been lower of the poverty level for a single senior living alone! They only award me $700.00 and if they didn’t ask me to give some blood to prove I was in need was because they couldn’t !! I think the nice lady that help me first is not there anymore! The ones who are there right now are not help at all, they are rude don’t think they want to bother at all on helping with anything they do not answer the phone and is they do they sound annoyed ! Ladies or whatever staff there, is not ur money you are helping with, have a little compassion, we go there because we have falling on situations that we are obligated to find help, is not because we want to! Believe me nobody wants to be begging to be help when we do not have the money or we are sick old homeless etc etc, I hope any of you ever be in the other side, with no job no home or family that we requieres to beg for help to survive .. be understanding empathetic and feel good to be the ones assign to help people like me who are in disgrace for whatever reason !! If you don’t like this kind of job find something else but do not make it harder for the ones like me that have to beg for help do to hard situations that we didn’t ask to be in …

Very rude people Kartlyn who I dealt with twice. I don’t understand what affordability living is. I paid1300 for rent. And Millie should leave her job I was declared legally blind during covid and lost my ailmony. I also lost my son to heroin and with that depression and downtown my personal training lisecenc which I can’t take over became of my blindness. There was no warmth help or housing. Why do they bother to stay open. Calling the better business bureau.

On June 3, 2022, in the morning, I went to the offices of the "Community Action Partnership of Lake County", since there was some force majeure that made me ask for help, and in doing so I did so at the suggestion of 211. I really admire, value and respect this philosophy of a helping hand and support to those who need it. But it is unfortunate that in these offices they have people who do not have the vocation to serve and are not committed to the philosophy of the organization, since it is very notorious that they are only there for a job and that their bad moments do not know how to differentiate them. of the other people who go there to ask for information or help and that we have nothing to do with their problems. In this my first visit, and then a terrible and rude attention, I was assigned a telephone interview for last Monday, June 6, 2022 at 9:30 am. And good for me, who was looking for information and help, that bad moment didn't go any further, a bad moment with a person I don't know and who, most likely, I would never see again. But the call came for the telephone interview, and again he answered me in a very impolite manner. And it is here that I ask myself, is it that what we go to your office to ask for information and/or help do we have to put up with this mistreatment? Is it that perhaps the costs of the help that your organization gives, is from the money people?, since that is the only way to justify the rudeness that these people behave with the public, but the most unfortunate thing is that it is ladies who cause these situations, ladies who forget that they are there to attend to the public that asks for information and aid.Jesus G. Poor communication. Waited for appt no one called. First said they called and I got date confused. Then noticed they were looking up wrong person. But then they said they called today. I had no missed or block calls. Very fishy and now have to wait 2 months again for another call. Poor Customer Service with being rude and trying to get you off the call over answering questions.
