Hector is absolutely wonderful. He always does a fantastic job with my car. He keeps me informed on what’s happening with it and the maintenance that need to be done. Thank you, Hector for taking good care of me every time I come.

I have been doing business with this location for 5 years . They have serviced 2 cars of mine that have over 300,000 miles on them and still running. Customer service has always been 5 stars no matter who I speak with. Repairs are always done in a timely manner and I have never had any issues with the work that gets done. I have family members that bring their cars in for maintenance and repairs. I always have and will recommend this location to anyone needing excellent mechanics.

Firstly it is a violation of the Federal Trade Commission and Google policy to offer a discount or money off product and services for a glowing review which is exactly what "Hector" asks for. I was having problems with my car and was told it needed a trans mount replacement which cost approximately $1000. I did get it replaced. Shortly after I pulled out their lot I had the exact same problem I originally came in for. I called "Hector" and went in a second time, Shaq apologized and stated something was off and that he repaired the issue. Once again shortly after leaving I had the exact same problem (engine rough and nearly stalling at every stop) that I initially came in for. I finally received a 2nd opinion from another shop and that 2nd opinion was that my direct ignition coil was damaged and one of the springs had been replaced with a much smaller spring similar to or an actual spring from a retractable pen. I brought this estimate back to Car X/Car Fix and "Hector" said he'll make it right. They took my car in back to look at it. While that was happening Shaq gave me a voucher for a free oil change and apologized. While they were supposed to be looking at my car they changed the spark plugs before telling me, didn't even replace the small "pen" spring related to the ignition coil. Once again my car still had the exact same problem and once again "Hector" told me he would make it right, I did not have one more penny to fix this as I had to borrow money for the first repair for which they upsold me new tires for an extra $500. Clearly at this point my faith in Car X/Car Fix was gone. I went back to the place in Zion where I had my second opinion and they fixed the actual problem for $501. The problems were the ignition coil and that the timing belt was off a tooth. A $500 repair and I lost $1000 to Car X because they didn't fix the chief complaint I came in for. After my car had finally been repaired correctly by the other shop I went to Car X/Car Fix to inform "Hector" of the findings and showed him the bill. Hector then asked me for $400 for the spark plugs they had replaced without my consent or knowledge. "Hector" stated that the money was coming out of his pocket for the replacement of spark plugs I did not authorize. To summarize I paid Car X $1000 to fix a problem that they did not fix and probably made worse. I paid the place in Zion $500 to fix the problem once and for all and it was done successfully. Car X received $1000 for a repair the was unnecessary and not related to the problem with my car. Car X then replaced spark plugs without authorization (not even the correct fit). Only after I had it repaired elsewhere and showed "Hector" the bill did he tell me I owe him $400 for the spark plugs or that it was coming out of his pocket. Needless to say I did not pay the $400 but now I'm out of $1000 for a repair that didn't get done by Car X.
I don't even want to go into detail with the scam they're pulling when they set you up on a high interest predatory payment plan through Acima or whatever lender they're using these days. Car X is only able to get you financed because they lie on the loan application by replacing the high prices you pay for labor and replace with the price of a fictitious or inflated priced part. In the event a customer defaults on these loans Acima doesn't even have collateral to repossess the item. It's a win for the Car X customer if you don't care about your FICO score but a complete loss to the lender. If they can regularly and illegally have the confidence in avoiding a lawsuit by a lender such as Acima Leasing or Synchrony they will have plenty of confidence to rip off the people of the Waukegan area. I have all the receipts and lease agreement.

Experience is great! Nice people. They put an engine in my Honda and got it covered thru the extended warranty. All I had to pay was my 250 deductible

As a grad student and new to the area I didn’t really know where to take my car when the engine light came on. I came here because of the reviews and they exceeded my expectations. Excellent communication and price.

I recently had my brakes repaired at Car Fix in the Waukegan area, and I couldn't be happier with the service. This was my first repair experience here, and the staff was super friendly, honest, and very reasonable with their pricing. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and assured that my car was in good hands. The transparency and professionalism displayed by the team and manager were truly commendable. I highly recommend Car Fix in Waukegan for anyone in need of reliable and affordable auto repair services!
