Brought wheelchair van in for ramp repair.Both Charlie and Matt were very nice.They fixed the problem quickly .I highly recommend Hard times repair.

We’ve taken our cars to Hard Times several times. We have some antique cars as well. They have taken great care of any car we’ve asked them to work on. Everyone at the shop is great and always very respectful. They just recently came through for us by fixing our 59 Metropolitan in 1 day so we could still attend a car show that we had planned.

Went here due to heat not working. It was done within a half day and heat works great! Not only that, but with the tune ups they did, my car is running as if it’s brand new. Highly recommend!

Awesome... dirty deeds done dirt cheap. Seriously, if you don't think it can be fixed ask these guys and they can figure it out. Throw back garage, make it work shop. Real world get r done!!

These guys are the best in the business in Lake County and one could argue all of Illinois. They strive for customer service, honesty, and upholding integrity. Not only are they fair in their prices but the work is done timely and with decades of experience. My family and I take our cars here for anything we need and the guys always jump on it. They're extremely helpful for my parents vehicles. The bill always comes in at or below what they quoted and if there are any surprises they always call before doing any work to make sure we're all on the same page before starting work. Look no further if you need auto repair and service...Hard Times is your best bet.

Brought my truck there for the first time when I got the bill it was higher than what he had quoted me the parts were higher than he told me the mechanic I believe was his father told me I needed upper ball jointshe called me the next day with the price what it would cost to repair upper ball joints I took it to a different with mechanic in the neighborhood they looked it over told me my ball joints are fine there was nothing wrong with them the guy try selling you repairs that are not needed I will not recommend him to anyone very bad experience the guys are rip off selling repairs that are not needed

Very down to earth and passionate about getting things done right. Charlie installed a cage for my 06 Lemons Mazda Racecar and it couldn’t have worked out any better. Would recommend anyone within Motorsports to this place.
