I am from Chicago but moved to the Warrenville-Naperville area 2 weeks ago for work. I was driving from getting off from work when I noticed my engine light was on and then the car started to shake and not accelerating when pressing on the gas. I passed by Fontana Auto Repair Towing services to ask for help fixing my car since it was not drivable. Jim and His wife took great care of me and fixed my car. Some of the most wonderful people you can encounter. Thank you Jim! :)

In 10 degree weather this morning my husband's car wouldn't start. After getting a jump I called Jim at Fontana's and asked if I could bring it over for a new battery. No problem, bring it over. He ordered a new battery and it was delivered and installed in no time. He is always dependable, helpful and friendly, and his wife is too. Highly recommend them. Thanks, Jim!

I've been going to have all my cars service at Fontana for over 30+ years. He always very nice,did a great job n very honest,long time ago,I brought 1 of my old van to fix n asked if he thinks it worthwhile to fix this major item,he told me no it's too old not worthwhile, so I didn't. He could of making good money on my major fixing,but didn't, he's not only fixing my cars,but my daughter's n son's cars too. His price is very good too.

Jim and his staff helped fix my ac when no other mechanic or auto shop could. we are very appreciative to have working ac at the beginning of a potentially hot and humid Chicago summer. His service was quick, honest and fairly priced! we will be back whenever we need auto help/repair.

After being told at another local auto shop that I would need all new brakes and rotors on my 3 year old car with 30,000 miles I was skeptical. I took my car for a second opinion to Fontanas where I was told that my car didn’t even need new brake pads yet, let alone rotors. Jim charged me $20 for his time, while this other auto shop was trying to get $1,200 from me for an unnecessary service. I will be a loyal Fontanas customer from now on!Services: Brakes

I've been going here for over 20 years. Jim's a very honest and upfront mechanic, he will only recommend what needs to get done (no extras), can't say enough good things about this place! I would highly recommend for all your car service needs, they even do exhaust repair (including welding).

Mr. Jim at Fontana's was really great. He worked with me providing my own parts and when some of them were wrong (Right part number but parts website sent wrong item), he went out of his way to find the correct parts which he had already sent back once he saw I had my own parts, and make sure they were installed.He did all of this within the day I dropped my car off. He wasn't sleazy like the service writers at a dealershit, who just want you to spend money. He was up-front about everything from the start, and I would absolutely come back.In fact, any service I have to pay for, I'm absolutely consulting with him first.Services: Brakes
