The overall experience with compass mortgage is good. The loan officer Mitchelle helped me in the loan process and spent countless hours for smooth process at underwriting. He listened and patiently answered all the questions. He is reachable through Email, phone and Text whenever required.

My loan officer did not fold under pressure through all the difficulties and challenges we've faced. He continued to keep me in "the loop" regarding my loan. Even though Chase Mortgage Company pulled out unexpectedly my loan office reassured me Compass Mortgage will help and push for a closing date. The loan office was very resourceful and helpful throughout this process.

Darryl Richardson was extremely helpful, supportive, and always explained the process fully. Darryl was always available day or night for us. This is our 2nd home that we have purchased with Darryl and Compass Mortgage. We truly enjoyed working with Darryl. He is one of a kind.

YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION COULD BE AT RISK BECAUSE OF COMPASS.Compass, and specifically Ken Krzak are terrible to work with. They disrespect you, even when you're a client of theirs. They do not listen to your needs. Once they have your email, they spam you with unwanted marketing solicitations. Their technology keeps sending you requests for information you've provided repeatedly. They were recommended by someone I respect which is the only reason I used them. I will never use them again and as soon as there is any downward tick in rates, I'll be a former client of theirs. If you want personalized service, don't expect it from Ken or Compass.11/8/2023 updateI sent an email to the CEO detailing my concerns. He chose not to respond. The head of sales responded not addressing any of the detailed concerns, nor apologizing for the experience to date. He only said, "I do want to provide you with assurance that you are in great hands with Ken. I have worked with Ken here at Compass for 7 years and I am confident in his ability to get you to the finish line."The majority of the issues are with Ken, his disrespectful approach, not answering questions, etc. The head of sales literally did nothing to address any of the concerns. Because f the fact that they refused to answer any questions, I went with another company. Compass didn't care about providing a high level of service.After notifying them of using another mortgage company, I requested that they confirm the deletion of all my personal information as they have tax records both personally and of my corporation, my SSN, etc. They DECLINED to confirm that.

As first time homebuyers we had a horrible experience with Compass. Our rep was Dennis P; we should have followed our instincts from the start and asked for someone new; however, we decided to give him a chance due to the referral from our realtor - BIG mistake. He was extremely non-thorough, it was like pulling teeth to get updates or responses from him without involving our realtor. We aren't just numbers, we are human beings and was treated very nonchalantly and when we did speak to him, we were rushed through conversation (my wife and I can only speculate why), which we would have never expected given the severity of this delicate process. Although we did every single thing asked of us in an extremely timely manner AND had great credit, ultimately our deal fell through due to HOA issues with the property itself; we went from having $9k closing cost, to being asked for $30k (days before closing). He could care less, offered no additional support, never contacted us with any sort empathy whatsoever; our realtor was the one trying to negotiate for us - he completely gave up. Everyone else in this process, from our realtor, the lawyers and his Loan Officer Therese and Processor Judy were WONDERFUL to work with. Unfortunately, we wasted weeks on this loan process and had to opt for renting a home instead (which we LOVEEEE and have no regrets about) - our lease was ending soon and we had no desire to work with Dennis anymore. We will revisit this in the future once mortgage rates decrease, but will absolutely choose another mortgage company. This was definitely a learning experience for us and going forward, we will trust our gut instead of trying to be patient and kind. It served us no purpose.

My experience with compass was above expectations. Any questions I had regarding the process were promptly answered via text, email, or phone. The website was very crucial in allowing me to clearly see what documents I had completed and what needed to be done. The process was smooth and easy with little to no difficulty. Overall I was pleased with the service provided and would recommend to friends and family in the future.
