I moved to VP about 5 years ago from the northside, and I'm so happy we found this place....I'm proud to say its become our go-to. Not only does Mike's have amazing high quality meat, but they have a great deli too and the staff makes it even better. Since day 1, i'm always greeted in the kindest way - I even know some by first name basis which is always a small town dream, right?! I should've made a review a long time ago but I am now because on Saturday I bought a 5 1/2 lb corned beef brisket for St Patrick's day to make my husband, and I was really conflicted on the best method to make it since it was on the larger end (from my experience of cooking). I already procrastinated in the morning and probably should've started earlier but I decided to call up Mikes this morning for advice and wow - they really helped me. Google wasnt helping me, everyone has different methods, or recipes of which way is better and i wanted to get it just right especially since this was not a cheap cut of meat!Two gentlemen gave me advice on 2 methods, and they literally gave me all the tips and best ways to handle from their own experiences. Man, it really made me so happy to support a business like Mikes and we will always continue to do so. They really care, and always take the time to help out their customers in store and over the phone. Thank you Mikes meat market! You guys are truly a gem in VP.

Have loved Mikes for years! But today I went in at 4:20 to purchase steaks for a dinner party.- They don’t close until 5:00 but every bit of meat had already been removed from the case and it looked like the staff was more interested in getting out of there than servicing customers. What a disappointment!

Received a gift certificate for Mike's. Went Fri for the first time and was totally impressed! Well trimmed and marbled steak. Best ham salad nice texture and right amount of mayo! Stuffed pork chops which I have rarely found! Herring nice sized chunks. We have eaten all items and all were outstanding! Excellent parking and excellent friendly staff. On the items I purchased, prices were comparable to larger chain operations. I will be back shopping Mike's.

Very good meat market. Staff is very knowledgeable. Good quality meats. I would recommend Mike's to anyone looking for good quality meats.

I decided to go to a speciality market for meat for the holiday and I simply couldn't afford anything in this store. Times are tough and inflation is high but we need businesses to help us out a little. The prices at this place were insane.

As a first time customer, i found this place to be very helpful in making me want to be a return customer. This is crucial to customer service as i am posting this review on here for all to see and often times, employees don't even think about this.I was very satisfied with the taste & flavor of the food i bought here, and even more satisfied with how easy going the staff is.Thanks guys! Everyone in the area had sold out of Corned Beef today, except Mike's. I have heard so many good things about them but never tried them. I picked up a corned beef and I have to say it was the BEST corned beef I've ever had! I'm sold and will be back for all meat needs. Thank you, Mike's!!

Top fan for a decade ++! Excellent quality choice and prime meat and seafood . Small but good produce and grocery selections. Excellent butchers and staff. Highly recommend!

The staff here is wonderful. I’ve asked them countless questions on how to prepare, how much to buy, how to serve, and so on. The are all so knowledgeable & you never feel stupid or rushed. The deli products are all fresh delicious. The stuffed baked potatoes are a favorite. My family has been going here for years and will continue to do so!
