I visited Number One Nails in Villa Park and had an amazing experience. Although I arrived at five minutes to 7 PM and their sign said they closed at 6 PM, the door was open and there were people inside. I asked if I could get a pedicure, and they warmly welcomed me in without any hesitation.
The staff was very nice and friendly. They offered me a massage with hot rocks for my legs, which was incredible. This was my first time at Number One Nails, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service. Thank you very much for making my visit so awesome!

they claim they can do design and they can’t even do simple things i wouldn’t recommend them i had to pay 60 for nails that look like a 5 year old did them

I held out great hope. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Yes, I was able to walk in without an appointment and that helped since my regular place was unavailable and it doesn't hurt to have a backup. The whole experience felt rushed and the attention to detail was lacking. Poor job on my feet with not much in the way of some dead skin removal on my heels or a callous. The hands weren't much better with missed detail's on the cuticles. The color application was average. All this was either because they were closing soon, the manicurist wasn't very good, or she thought because I was a man that I wouldn't care, notice, or deserve a better job. I won't be back.

I love this nail salon. They are extremely busy and suggest you make an appointment. The quality of work has been consistent for the last year. Tina was the best!

First, I had a fill in and a no chip. Work was done by Tina and it was terrible. I like my nails simple—short and squared off—my nails look like a child did them. She left them Uneven, all different shapes, just very sloppy work. I have burrs on the the edges of my nails, the nail color and top coat isn’t covering the entire nail and so it shrunk back in the curing process. Also, she put zero base coat on and didn’t clean up the sides so polish was left in the ridges at the sides of my nails. Also—aesthetic of this place is a dump—tired and in need of a total overhaul. Hand wash sinks are dingy, dirty and old and pedicure chairs are ripped and falling apart. Not sure if other nail techs are better, but it doesn’t matter bc I won’t ever return. Buyer beware—Total waste of money.Edit: added pic ONE day after my “no chip”. I’ve been getting no chip manis for 10+ years—this is totally unacceptable. Save your money for a place that does it right.

Tina did my nails and Kaylee did my sisters. My sisters came out fast an exactly as wanted. Mine took over 2 hours and plenty of mistakes - did not come out as what I wanted and they are crooked. After a day and a half my nails did fall off due to improper prep, right before the event I got my nails done for. Tina did say she will fix them for free if I have time to come in. Kaylee did a wonderful job although and my sisters nails are sturdy and exactly as wanted. Make sure you ask for the right person with the best reviews before getting an appointment!Services: Nail art

I had an excellent experience here. Vast collection of OPI and China Glaze polishes amongst other brands upon walking in. A menu of services is posted up with a sign-in book at the front. I didn't catch a glimpse of all the services offered since I was only there for a pedicure. I was happy to say I was greeted warmly, unlike some salons where you are barked at immediately and rushed to a seat. I noticed right away how everyone seemed very relaxed and calm. Pedicure chairs have a nice selection of massage settings for your back and are comfy and clean. The tech opened up a new sanitized set of tools to use on me, and plastic liners for soaking are used for each new customer. The bathroom in the back was well-stocked and clean as well. Throughout the hour, technicians were calmly talking with each other in friendly tone, not screaming across the salon. The manager appeared to be receptive, jolly, and attentive to employees and customers. Very relaxed vibes, extremely comfortable setting.... I didn't care for what the TVs had on, but other than that the environment was inviting, cozy, and not overly crowded which was wonderful. My technician was courteous and made sure the water for my pedicure was not too hot for me. The sugar scrub smelled so great as he took his time with the most amazing leg/foot massage ever. He was gentle, cautious, and thorough. A++! For a standard pedicure it was outstanding, and I will definitely go back.

This salon is my go to place for my nails, great pedicures, and even eyebrow waxing. Everyone is friendly, making it a relaxing, good experience.
