Horrible customer service
Just received a code to save $10 on an order for pickup.
Went to place the order online and the store 4 miles from me isn’t available to pickup at. In fact no stores show up.
I called the store and talked to Steven in Vernon hills - who mentioned that he was unable to find his own store for pick up and then , after we were disconnected and I had to call back, he said his manager told him that they are having issues with the website for placing pick up orders. And all I could do is either come in and buy or order for delivery. I didn’t want to pay $15.00 to have it delivered 4 miles away. I asked if they would honor the $10 off if I came into the store and he quickly said “ No - There’s nothing I can do”
I’ve been hearing more and more complaints about this store. Guess I now know why

After posting this review I received an email from customer service. Said they would honor the discount and credit back shipping cost when I pick up in store. Updating to 3 stars for now but sure would’ve been nice to just taken care of the issue up front.

So, I was visiting store next door to this location and I accidently drop my wallet. Either an employee or customer found it. The store called me immediately and I walked next door. My wallet is a money clip type so whoever found it would have seen my cash and it was all there. Thank you Liquor Barn. You have a great team in Vernon Hills.

Staff is not the friendliest or helpful. It's like they think they are selling you the crown jewels when it comes to bourbon. Management is rude. Selection is decent but prices way too high. Thought I would give them a try but evidently not worth stopping in. Hard pass, get your drams elsewhere.

I ordered over $1,000 of wine from the store. The website said the wine was in stock. It took them over a week to tell me they wouldn't be able to make my delivery date. Do not order wine from them; go somewhere else.

Terrible company. The retail stores have some employees that are nice, but their corporate leadership is awful. Stay away from their webstore, they do not keep a live inventory and oversell products and then take weeks to refund. Stay away from at all costs, there are other liquor stores in the area that actually care about their customers.

Workers are rude and seem to get offended when asked about whiskey. They overcharge the customers because items are so called "hard to find". You guys work at a liquor store, show a little customer service and stop acting as if your selling your family heirlooms.

Avoid this place.On a Thursday I order from this place using Drizly, after 30 minutes I get a notification that my order has shipped (this place is about 40 minutes from my place) but no tracking number is given, the email said driver will contact me for delivery attempt, after no more communication, no tracking number or call, a delivery attempt was made, I get a voicemail informing me about the failed attempt so I tried to call that number that doesn't work. I tried to contact this place and no one in the store can help, I was given a number that doesn't work because they are closed on weekends, I try to contact the delivery service and they are also closed on weekends, I try to cancel the order but drizly can't since it was already marked as shipped. So onsent an email informing they I will dispute the charge, I get an answer, saying that I should've left a message to the closed on weekends number I was given and that the dispute won't work because they will just charge it again.Terrible customer service and non existent support.

I was able to buy an already open bottle on the shelf with some of the alcohol missing.Partly my fault for not noticing or paying attention.
