I had a faulty machine I bought at another store and came in two days in a row from Chicago to fix. While my first expiration with Shanu wasn’t the best it was due to personal error forgetting the receipt. That being said the manager Mary was so nice and helped me and my friend quickly and easily while making polite banter. Overall wonderful experience with Mary! Thanks girl!

if you are looking for unique products Joann's may meet your needs, if you are looking for quality and customer service keep driving. I purchased some silly Santa Hat string lights, mind you this set me back a whole six dollars. Opened the package, tossed the package in the trash and when I went to use them I noticed that four hats off the string were missing. I called the Vernon Hills Location and was told even though I had the receipt they would not return a DAMAGED item. Now, it's the principal. I emailed their customer service and after a two week delay I was sent a fifty-percent off coupon for my inconvenience. A big deal they have that promotion all the time. As I said, keep on driving!

I wish there was a JoAnn’s closer to me! The Vernon Hills store is my go to for fabric, tools, and notions. I would be quite remiss if I neglected to mention the custom framing service there. Dora is a true artist. Her color sense is spot on. We’ve worked with her three times to mat and frame seven pieces of art, and she has never disappointed us.

I'm sure all the good reviews are for decor. Years ago, this store was a fabric store. No more. I was there recently and aside from the fabric bolts being in disarray, I couldn't find many types of apparel fabrics that used to be very available. Also, there used to be signs above the fabric types, such as SILKS, LINEN, COTTON, etc. The other thing I noticed is that their sewing machine parts section is skimpy. Too bad.

Curbside services shouldn't even be offered. I've had to go inside twice after waiting 20+ mins.
