I have had 2 very similar experiences at this book store. I came in February to get books for my late starting classes. Upon entering and waiting at the desk, there was one older woman behind the counter. She looked at me but would not acknowledge me. I then waited for another employee to come, which assisted me. Once employee 2 assisted me the other woman then told the person behind me to come to her.Yesterday I needed another text book because I am taking a summer class. I Recognize the older woman. But this time there are 3 people behind the counter. A young man taking a call, a younger woman that seems busy as well. Again the older woman looks at me and literally does the same thing as last time. The young man gets off the phone and assists me. Today I asked her what her name was and she said Julie. I’m not sure it if was racial prejudice or what. But it’s disheartening getting this treatment. Who ever is in charge of the book-store. But Julie needs more training in customer service asap. It’s not a good look at a community college.

The CLC bookstore in Grayslake is considerably larger than the South Lake campus, but they still seem to have the right little bit of everything! Also like the online book ordering/pick up at the store feature too!
