Never use this bakery for any custom cake. Went in the store to order a cake and I waited 30 minutes to be helped. I had to call the store while present in the bakery to get a manager there to retrieve their employee. They had no examples of cakes to give ideas for custom options, the employee was unhelpful, the manager was unhelpful. Finally got it ordered and to my disappointment when I called the decorator (Lori) the day before I was to purchase the cake, she was very unclear on the information the bakery employee had written for her, kept saying they don't really decorate cakes (complete untruth). The cake decorator had a horrible attitude and seemed quite unbothered at the inconvenience stating she had a stack of orders and I should just go somewhere else to order the cake. The incompetence is staggering and a 74th birthday party was completely ruined. After 20 years of getting custom cakes here, I can honestly say I'll never return to this unprofessional bakery again.

A worker literally banged a cart into my car multiple times and then left a whole line of carts behind my car so I wasn't able to leave for several minutes.

I come here like every day & I love the rewards program. Also, the hot buns, homemade candles are nice.

I worked here since the beginning of the pandemic. The new management is poor to put it nicely. The store manager is rude and plays favorites among the staff. She also is someone who didn't take COVID seriously just ask the Champaign store. When one of my co-workers came out positive for COVID and attempted to call in all she said was to come in that people are realizing that it's only a cold and no extra precautions are needed. There are a lot of elderly that go to this store that are sensitive to the virus and for the store manager to simply dismiss it shows lack of entegrity and responsibility. The front end manager clearly was pushed into the position and because of her scheduling it has resulted in not having enough staff when needed. For those who have complained about that this is the reason. I hope corporate takes what I just said into account because this is reflecting badly on them as well. Please don't be complacent about this and take action.

This middle aged female working at the self out this afternoon (tues, 11 14 2023) should go through an intensive customer service course. No one has to be treated at that extremely.

This location is very convenient for me as a college student, but unfortunately the location lacks good customer service, and the checkout lanes are complicated and slow. The customer service here is lacking and when you have issues with self checkout you are either ignored or treated with disrespect. I don't recommend this location.

This Schnucks location used to be a decent grocery store, but alas, it has gone downhill. They used to have excellent produce, but now it's mediocre. The bakery used to produce enough to last throughout the day, but now most items sell out fairly early. They used to have a sufficient number of check-out clerks with three lanes running during peak times, but today, they had just one lane open. Just one. The poor person running it works in floral and hadn't run a cash register in a long time, so you can imagine that she was not super efficient (and no shade on her, she was going as fast as she could). With two customers ahead of me in line, it took close to 15 minutes, and by that time, there were 25 people waiting behind me. One would expect the store manager get a back-up clerk to help out or just jump in to open a *second* lane, but no, that was not the case. The manager, it seems, had not been trained to run a cash register. Even the self-check-out lanes were massively backed up, with machines acting up and needing constant overrides.
