I will start by saying I have not personally visited here however, a customer from the place of business I work for did. She got her transmission serviced at the shop I work for. She then went to Hong Qi Automotive for something else. They told her that her transmission was 4 quarts low on fluid (the vehicle would not pull at 4qt low.) They put fluid in it. She called and let me know ow what they said and did. I had her bring it back and, low and behold it was overfill. We drained her extra fluid at no charge of course. Taking advantage of anyone is a low, taking advantage of the elderly though, shame on you!

Didn’t even care to help. I asked if they could help diagnose my vehicle for a potential transmission problem due to flashing D light…They just told me to go to auto zone.Been reading reviews, and I’m glad they sent me away.Edit: I never wanted to borrow your tool. You could have said “sorry, you’d have to schedule an appointment for the diagnostic”. I would have been more than happy with that answer.

Best prices around. Have taken my Kia there several times and usually fixed same day. Way cheaper than a dealership and nicer. Will call and detail the problems and ask your permission to fix

Everyone here is very nice but also knowledgeable. I had my Mercedes AC condenser replaced and they did a great job. Now I have them fixing some warranty work. Hong Qi is the best around!

Very helpful and professional. I went there because my rear bumper had a dent from being rear-ended. They helped in contacting the insurance, repaired the body, and did additional mechanical inspection. After that, they also identified and fixed an intermittent humming noise which had haunted me quite a while and turned out from a half-functioning caliper. This was not a simple diagnosis, and they still managed it. Recommended!Services: Body & Trim

Went there twice for the good rating and the owner is Chinese BUT had very bad experience. WILL NEVER COME BACK!The first time, I did an inspection to fix the weird noise problem when I brake. They told me it's the tire problem and asked me to change the tire, which I didn't.A month later, I had a maintenance light on. I also mentioned about the noise issue, but this time they mentioned nothing about the tire and instead gave me a list of problems including replacing the brake drum, oil change, air filter, etc.HOWEVER, after spending $600 and waiting for 3 hours, they BROKE my brake (brake pedal goes to the floor and cannot stop the car) and try to convince me to replace the 'leaking booster' for another $700! They was scamming me.I end up leaving my car at the store, not driving it back, because it's too dangerous after they messed up with my brake. of course I refused to pay the money. The next day, they called me that the brake was back to normal... The booster was okay.It is really disappointing that I thought the owner is a good guy and trusted them but they turned out cheating me for money.

I took my vehicle here for a fuel pump, only to be called a couple of days later that my car needed a engine, catalytic converter, exhaust work and much more per Hongs qi lady at the front desk! My car was not ticking and could not even be heard when on. The woman t the front desk blurts out out of the blue that they would by my car from me for 400 since they are recommending 6 to 7 thousand dollars worth of labor and parts! my 2007 keep compass was in good shape and had a great body on it. I told the lady that I would need to consult with my husband. I got off work after closing and goin found my passenger side of my vehicle completely destroyed!!!I went in the next morning and asked what happened and where did this damage to my vehicle come from. I was told a parts delivery truck go hit my vehicle and they had no information on the company! I called the parts company which was more than willing to take responsibility for the damage done by their driver and had given the automotive their insurance information to give to me! Hongs qi owner tried to keep the insurance information and give me 400 dollars that way they could receive the claim for m MY DAMAGED VEHICLE! They made up false problems with my car to make me feel it was worthless so they could get the insurance money from vehicle. These people are scammers, at look you right in the eye and tell lies ( which the owner and secretary can’t get in the same page about the lies they are telling). Point being they falsify diagnosis togain possession of vehicles. Also my daughter had a brand new pair of shoes that were just done that were valued at 300 all I was given was a oh well. Police were called and couldn’t believe the lies that were told as he heard the story unfold. police even heard the vehicle turn on and couldn’t believe we were told we never a new engine!

If you have an EV, steer away from this place. I've had an issue where my steering wheel shakes when my A/C is on high so I took it here. They took it for a driving test and didn't find any issues- they did not charge me a dime. I was okay with this diagnosis and got ready to leave, but they drove the car to the point that the battery was at almost 0% charge. This is especially impressive since it was at about 75% when I took it in. I asked if I could charge it there and they said I had to take it to a charging station and that I had 40 miles left before I needed to charge it. At that point, I realized they had no idea how EVs worked at all, given that they compared a gas light to a battery warning. I was able to get it across the street to another business and had AAA get me a tow home. There was a total lack of awareness here- I was really disappointed since I really thought I had found a good mechanic.
