Bought pool last year. First issues were with install- leaks from skimmer pump. There were about 10 men to put up the above ground pool. Trying to call the office of the sub contractors to come and check on leaks took about 3 weeks. Now , when I go to clean the filter cartridge, I see the whole bottom of cartridge is cracked and not so Great Escape said they will not replace. Jesus help me!

I like the place but poor hours. Went there today with 5 people in the lot at 10:30AM and they were not open yet. We all went o American Sales down the road and it was packed. to the great escape - you need to know your customers, the season and their needs

Absolutely unprofessional staff! Sold us wrong item, and once we got home we were forced to drive all the back to store to return it. And we live 25 minutes away! My husband is a 100% disabled veteran and no one offered to carry the heavy item out to the car. Getting our credit back to our credit card was another problem, since the manager couldn't figure out how to do it! Really? Would not recommend this place. Their prices are too high too!

My experience with John was awesome. He was very professional and clear about the product. He did not make me feel rushed as the store was closing. This is our favorite store for our summer outdoor shopping.

Salesman was very polite, courteous, & informative.Had lots of knowledge in the areas of pools. The salesman helped me with loading my cart & car because I was unable to do myself . I love your store and staff. It’s always my go to place for all my needs. I have purchased many items over the years and I am a long term satisfied customer.

Great service, prices are very high on parts that shouldn't be. $24 for a plastic nut?

I would highly recommend The Great Escape in Tinley Park. We purchased our first pool from GA and the General Manager Jason Swinson made the process from beginning to end seamless. Jason was extremely helpful if we had any questions. We look forward to enjoying our pool from years to come.

We love The Great Escape in Tinley and all of the staff. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. John is our primary go to guy but everyone is great. We have made many large and small purchases from them through the years and will continue to do so.

They really get you excited for every season with their large variety, of outdoor and indoor entertainment selections from recreational, to swimming, to exercising, to comfort, to lounging about. It’s all there. They have great low prices and always a sale going on!

The time has come in my experience to give out the dreaded 1 star review. I Purchased a pool table here on 1/27/24. I will give 5 stars for the purchasing experience and even the initial scheduling of the installation (very smooth). Jeff D sold us the table and he was great! TGE uses a 3rd party company, Universal Pool Co. for installation. I noticed a crack in the table a few hours after installation. The installers had to have seen the crack or it happened during installation because it is near a screw and there were fingerprints around it. Dealing with Universal Pool Co. has been a nightmare. I’ve called and sent several emails with all the information they requested (one time while on the phone with them!) over the course of 3 weeks and they finally told me the emails go to a different department within the company and they aren’t receiving them. I tried going directly through Brunswick and this didn’t work. I called TGE twice and they keep referring me back to the Universal Pool Co. What companies like TGE don’t realize is that they lose more business than they think. I’m building a game room and planned to buy most products here including an expensive shuffle board table which has now been put on hold until I find another dealer. This review is to inform people that there may be issues after the purchase bc of this 3rd party installer that they use. They simply are unable to resolve my simple issue. I don’t know what else to do when they claim to not be getting my emails. I even told them to just send me a new piece so that the next time the table has to be taken apart I will have the new piece. Even this seemed to confuse them. Mine is a simple crack in a pool table, yours might be your swimming pool! It looks like TGE responds to these reviews and my last hope is that the store helps me deal with this. I may edit this review if and only if TGE themselves help me with this ASAP. But I won’t buy anything else here.Invoice # BL3QUO.

Bought a hot tub from Orland Great Escape. Mark was a great sales person minus forgetting to charge us for removal of our old hot tub which caused a trickle down horrible experience. Husband had to take off work for delivery on a Monday because they don't deliver on the weekends, only for the delivery crew to come and NOT deliver our hot tub. 1st we were told that we didn't pay for removal of the old hot tub only to be told the hot tub wouldn't fit through the opening (our mistake cause, we didn't measure the opening), but they wouldn't wait 10 minutes for us to remove a fence panel to make an opening and was told "we have other deliveries, we can't wait" and they left. We have to take off a whole day, wait a 3 hr window for them to deliver, but they can't wait 10 minutes? Then, when my husband went to the store when it opened, 2 hrs later (10am), and paid for the removal of our old hot tub, we had to wait for Customer Service to call with a new delivery date, which is a month and half away, only for Samantha to tell my husband that "they don't even want to deliver to us cause we're rude." Who do these people think they are to treat customers this way? Worst customer service ever!
