Amazing people at this place. They care so much about the animals here. If you can't adopt, please donate or volunteer.

This place is horrible honestly the WORST shelter I’ve ever seen. Animals getting infections from no upkeep. Trying to get the world out. This place needs shut down.

The people at CARA are super nice and helpful. They try to pick a cat that will fit your needs. The cats, of course, are all adorable and begging to be adopted and loved. The only negative would be adoption fees vs others in town but it's SO worth it when you know how much time/energy is put toward all the animals.

Zero stars if possible...I have a pit that is being mistreated left outside almost all day and night and this lady has the audacity to tell me they only mainly take cats. THEN MAKE THAT CLEAR IN YOUR OVER ALL REVIEW.

So many beautiful cats to choose from! Please adopt from here! Very healthy cats that want homes. Connie does such a wonderful job with her babies.

This place gave me so much help when taking my misbehaving cat into them. The fact that this is a no kill shelter is wonderful. I was very sad but they found someone to work with her immediately giving me peace of mind. The cats seem well spaced and taken care of. One cat was roaming around free which gave me a cat to pet as I was leaving her and this was comforting. I highly recommend them to volunteer work or donate food and litter.

This place took 3 kittens from me, when the local Humane Society claimed to be full. I especially like the fact that they are a "No Kill" shelter. If you're looking for a kitten, or if you just want to donate money, time, or supplies, this would be the best place for that.

The last answered the phone talking rudely. As if she did not like or want her job. If I'm adopting a dog. As my own animal how can you tell me where I need to take my dog .. that's not right. I don't recommend this facility to anyone.

We had a stray kitten show up at our house. We couldn’t find the owner and being the weekend, there was no place open except for this place. They took the sweet kitten in and I am hopeful they will find a good home for it. I am thankful for their generosity.

It’s been two years since I adopted my cat here. I just called CARA for help with documents. The lady who handed the cat to me in the first place still remember me and my cat. She told me that they’ll always welcome him back to the shelter whenever I feel my cat is not safe. She really isn’t giving up on any animal. I’m glad that my cat grew up at CARA before he came to live with me.

Terrible ? lady answered the phone unprofessionally… I wasn’t sure if I had the correct number . She made me get off my speaker phone… asked several personal questions and told me they were full. Could not believe there were so many good reviews for this place! I’ll go to Tilton Monday … I know they Will be more compassionate
