“I live within 7 miles across the border of this station. There are many patrons from Illinois trying to save money from the ridiculous gas taxes & subsequent price per gallon. That being said, it's better to go early in the morning or later at night to avoid the busy crowd of customers. This is a clean gas station and typically well functioning. It is next to a river or lake, so sometimes a little flooding may be experienced after a heavy storm period, but nothing drastic.”

“Having read the reviews by previous drivers I was skeptical about staying here. When I arrived even though it's a small place there was plenty of parking at 1900 hours. I went inside and asked about a parking fee, and the nice gentleman said there was none as long as I stayed with the truck. He suggested the restaurant next door, however I was too tired, but they did have some very good fried chicken in a heated box on the counter.”

“I pulled in to fill the air in my tires. I paid the machine twice before I found out there was a hole in the air hose. The worker behind the counter, Devin came out and plugged the hole with his bare hands so I could fill my tires. 30+ psi of pressure on your bare hands hurts like a mother but Devin pushed through it to help me out. He’s a real one and this is a great Speedway”

“About 10 minutes of using for 10$ pay. Nice you can use coins, cash or card. But coins only for vacuum ☝️
Instructions are helpful cause it was my first time self-washing.
There is a soap brush. But works not so perfect. I also use a rug (brought with me) to wash better.”

“It's called Plaza 94 now Cookie , Sam , Mark Toors brothers sold Toors brothers truck stop sure do miss them Punjabis. Mark Cookie Sam Toors brothers is where Roger Daily Diane Daily use to have a in house fuel account for Daily Highway Express in Winthrop harbor IL. That's why my first truck the 2006 Kenworth T600 studio sleeper white 86 inch double bunk Cummins ISX I got a 1.2 million miles out of it before getting a new remain motor from Diesel power of Indiana, had 4 diesel fuel tanks you could fuel 565 gallons which was cool cause I figured I'd fuel at Toors brothers or speedway on hwy 41 and 137 in Waukegan IL then go to east coast and back every week. It's was a old Van Eerden truck they built there trucks like that to go get produce from California and Arizona without paying high fuel costs. Doesn't seem the same without Cookie or Mark or Sam. Cookie was the blue Punjabi Mark was the left Punjabi Sam was the boss of India intelligent at least that Sam . Their related to the Punjabi who own the dump trucks..The Punjabi are the warriors of India. The Gujarati are the Patels my sister's Sierra & Candy and step dad king Armanidani j Patel family. The Hindi are considered the lower case of India individuals so you can't judge them all the same..The Punjabi dress more upper class. They love curry that's what some individuals smell when getting a motel room. Cookie , Mark , & Sam rebuilt Toors brothers truck stop to what it is now with Denny's restaurant. They used to sell church's chicken. See Clark Air force base is in the Philippines which is real close to India. My sister is probably named after GMC Sierra the pick up cause India has a GM and Jeep manufacturing plant plus Borg Warner has facilities there .”
