They have some troubling ethics.

Not after that piece of crap DeVos was allowed to show up after what she has done to the school system. And I wonder why it wasn't announced.

My child had to take a class at Waubonsee versus our home community college because the class that was needed was not offered. The professor read slides, verbatim, as lecture, and has not changed the wording from the text, has not varied instructional practices, and even though several attempts were made with the instructor for assistance, none has been given. This student has attended another community college and a state school with great success, but due to the rigidity of

When the woman at the bookstore told me I couldn't buy the code online and had to buy both the text I thought it seemed odd, but I trusted that she wasn't lying to me.Well, she was lying to me and I could have saved $70 dollars. Very sketchy way to run a business. I go to community college because it is more affordable, not to be scammed out of hundreds of dollars by the bookstore every semester.

This is probably the third time I come to this campus to try and get help filling up the student aid and help to enroll. As I asked the lady at student aid, all she said was that there wasn't enough “man-power†to help me, then expected me to just figure it out myself. Every time I come here for help they have an excuse or just not even a reason to not help. I am tired of this. This has been the worst experience I've had at a college in all my life. I will not recommend it.

I asked if there was an online version of the book I needed for a class, they lied and told me there was no such thing even online. Later found out there was and could not return the book/access code bundle.

They steal your money, only give you a one week trial period for their crap classes(not even thirty days) then keep your money even if you drop it. Not to mention they expect your parents to pay for you and want you to justify the need for money...like um hello..tuition, clothing, food, transportation...but none of that stuff is a reason to them. Stuck in the dark ages this place is. Do yourself a favor, call the better business bureau file a complaint and find somewhere else to attend you'll thank me later. Waubonsee is a pitiful excuse for a college and I regret putting any money in this institutions pockets!

I was able to buy my laptop and all my books with financial aid and the ladies up front at customer service are so great. They helped me out a lot. The place is seemingly trying to improve itself. I get more frustrated with the publishing companies than the workers at the store.

I would not even give this place a star. I love my school and everything about the sugar grove campus. But this book store is filled with grumpy, uninterested, rude people who only do the minimum amount of work to get their "job" done. I dread a new semester because that means that I have to go back in there to wait in line and watch these people drone around. I would say going to the DMV is a more enjoyable of a visit. I needed a history book last semester and they did not have any in, so I signed my name on a waiting list because they said they were waiting for a new shipment. They had my number and told me they would call me when it was in. I waited one week (till my next class) because I wanted to be patient and they still did not have it and no phone call. Went to the class and another girl had just gotten one. She said she was not on any waiting list, she just walked in there and asked for one and they gave it to her. I was confused and annoyed so I went back and they said sorry we just gave out our last one, we are getting more. Outraged, I asked how could this be? I am on a waiting list and I never got a phone call! I re-put my name on this list. Another week and a half later I finally got one... Mind you, now I was severely behind on my reading for this class and had to play major catch up.
