The deli dept. is the worst of many bad depts. Ask for ham to be shaved or turkey to be sliced very thin and first you get attitude cause now they have to do some work. Then they slice the stuff as thick as possible as to save themselves from having to do the "work". So F'n lazy drives me crazy. I get you dont make much but not my problem. Find another job if you cant ever smile and be polite.
The produce is kind of a joke. Over ripe tomatoes, hard heads of lettuce full of yellow/white, moldy raspberries, mushy blueberries. Never any employees working thst dept.
Meat dept. isnt much better. Unless you get the more expensive ground round the ground beef will be brown in the middle. Steaks are hit and miss. Sometimes they will a decent steak. Everything in the Seafood dept stinks. Fresh seafood is not supposed to smell bad.
In general we are spending almost double per trip than we were when Donald Trump was President. $300 plus dollars a week for 2 people. Seriously thinking bout trying Aldi which is directly across the street from this Jewel. And one last thing is there are so many expired items its infuriating when you get home and you had looked at 50 items dates but missed 1 item and your out the money or have to look like a poor begger asking for a refund. Its total B.S.!!!

such rude employees. Devin in the express checkout lane at 10:35-10:40 AM today (fathers day) needs to not be interacting with customers. totally killed my mood by how rude and condescending he was, also so rough with the flowers and cake i was purchasing as a gift. Get out of customer service. and of course the phone number for the store doesnt work so i couldn't speak to a manager about it. Totally disapointed in my visit today. Hope this review helps! Some people shouldn't be in customer service.

Very nice jewel food store ..has a good selection of things we would need out here in sugar Grove being in our only grocery store like flowers and plants and lawn chairs and of course our food.

The Jewel is okay. The checkout staff are friendly and quick and really great. But management is sub-par. There really shouldn't be so much expired food there. I've had to make it a habit to actually check the dates myself while shopping because there will be expired food on the shelves, so it takes me about twice as long to shop. Even though their prices tend to be much higher than Aldi, Woodmans, or even Target; they have great sales and coupons if you use the app. So if you coupon shop, you get good deals then.

Bakery is amazing! They made a a custom birthday cake for me - double decker cookie cake with frosting in the middle. They did a great job and great service! Reasonable price!

Decent jewel with some nice employees, but the older woman at the self checkout, Cindy has a very nasty energy. She seems annoyed to help anyone. another younger gentlemen came to help with my app and was much more kind and didn't make me feel like a complete idiot. Maybe don't work around people, Cindy.

Terrible experience with car pickup every time. I have never had an order that didn’t have multiple items missing (and also unaccounted for in the substitutions field in the app). I will never be ordering ahead again and would advise anyone reading that it isn’t worth it. The time that would’ve been saved is spent finding the missing items in the store.
