I came here tonight to pick up my mother in laws contacts. Some Indian tech named Mimi made me wait 45 minutes because apparently I was violating HIPAA laws by picking up my MIL’s contacts, providing the correct name, DOB, address, phone number AND signing a form in which I checked who I was followed by a signature. Keep in mind I’ve picked up from here a dozen times, but this Mimi gave me the biggest pain of my life to pick up something as little as contacts. When I told her I was a pharmacist and I know my laws, she came up with a different excuse that it was the address that was the issue, and the excuse after that was that the profile had an issue. Funny thing is the optometrist I had called to put the contacts on hold had absolutely no issues pulling up the profile and letting me know I could pick up the contacts today. However because Mimi, being the only employee at the vision center at 7:20 pm, didn’t know how to do her job, I waited 45 mins for her to learn. On top of all that, when she was checking me out at 8:06 pm she had the audacity to tell me she did me a huge favor because she shouldn’t be working past 8pm. If any Walmart supervisor sees this- either Mimi needs a lot more training, or you need to replace her with a new employee. No customer deserves to go through this nonsense.

Very Good Customer Service in the Vision Center Department Especially Mrs. Laura, very friendly and explains everything to you. I give her 5 stars for her attention.

I came to buy glasses and I had a couple of questions, I turned to Laura, she is very angry and not a friendly woman, because of her I lost the desire to buy something. Only negativity comes from her, I don't understand how she was hired...

Went to get contact lenses. My prescription is from a optometrist in Utah where they are allowed to write prescriptions that do not expire for 2 years. They told me it was expired, that prescriptions are only good for 1 year, I explained no it was not and that it even states on the form it was good for 2 years. They then stated it was only good for 2 years for spectacles and again I pointed to where it states on the form that the prescription is valid for spectacles and contact lenses for 2 years. They still denied me. Went somewhere else that knew a Utah optometrist is certified to write a 2 year prescription, they got my money. I don't recommend this place.

Upon checking in, the front office told me there was a "hold" on my insurance. She accused me of having an appointment elsewhere and that I was trying to use my benefits at both places. After making a phone call to my insurance company, it turned out the front office made a mistake and scheduled me for an appointment at a different Walmart location. I don't want to point out the obvious, but you'd think they would treat the customers better especially since it's a customer driven business. What a terrible experience. No apologies, flippant attitude.

Rita at the Streamwood store was very helpful, friendly and patient. I lost a pair of glasses, so I wanted to get my new prescription into an older pair of glasses( bought at Sears but they are gone). A different optical store wanted to charge me $150 for a whole new pair. They wouldn't put them in old glasses and it was only one eye that needed changing! Rita said no problem and the charge was very reasonable. I enjoyed chatting with her and was delighted at the service. I will go there for my glasses next time.

I'm not sure if this is a new doctor or if I just haven't seen him before but he was exceptionally professional and polite to me during my contact exam. The assistant and other employees are also always helpful and even recognize me and say hello if I pass by shopping for groceries. Probably the best thing about this Walmart.

This is my first time getting glasses from this location. My experience was a little bumpy. But, at the end everything was resolved, thanks to Rita. Ms. Suki was very helpful finding a pair of glasses that fits best on me. Reason for 4 star is because of bumpy experience.

Just spent 2 months working with these people on getting a pair of glasses that worked. Found out today they no longer have a Doctor on site to check your eyes. So, I had to make a full return today before the 60 day warranty was up.

Doctor was not the friendliest and gave the prescription to me hand written in sloppy handwriting. Seems unprofessional for for a patient's prescription numbers.
