I highly recommend Streamwood animal hospital. My 19 yr old cat was diagnosed with a aggressive cancer, our family brought him in for a final goodbye, we were taken to a special room, the table was draped with a pet bed on top. The lamp was put on and even a orchid on the table. We were told to take our time and to push the button when we were ready . The doctor gave the final goodbye injection. It was a hard, tearful time, but the Dr..staff and the soothing room were so comforting to us. We left with heavy hearts, but thankful to them for being so kind and caring. Thanking them again. I just love the way they treat my dog. He’s just so excited every time he sees you guys. He was in a very bad shape and he’s now as happy as a puppy! (He’s 12 years old). You guys provide excellent care to pets, even treats! And I couldn’t be more thankful for finding you! Keep up the good work! The only thing I’d suggest is trying to find a Spanish speaking person that can translate to those who don’t know English! But other than that, it’s just perfect!

Vet was nice at first. Been taking my animals here for 25 years. Then I get a dog who had been traumatized by a nail cut at Pet Co. DO NOT GO THERE! Anyway they gave me anxiety meds which he did not like and threw up one morning, after which I received a phone call saying I needed to take him some where else. They simply did not or could not deal with his issues. So as long and your animal is perfect your good.

Worst place to get vet help, unless you like your animal to come back injured because you can’t see what they are doing inside with them

I have been taking my dogs here for many years, all the changes in doctors over the years was difficult but my dogs always received good care. Most recently Dr. Maureen Getty has been caring for my Teddy and I love Dr. Getty, but the hours here are just not conducive for the full time worker. I work for a very uncompassionate company that doesn't allow me time off for my pets so I had to make the difficult decision to go elsewhere. Also, its time to end curbside service. Teddy is an extremely anxious dog and I need to be with him when he's in a strange place. I think if AHS expands their hours and adds a couple more vets, it would be the wonderful place it was back when I began going there. If I was retired I would still be coming here. No complaints at all with the care of my pets.
