About Casa Italia
Casa Italia is a hidden gem in the Chicagoland area, serving as the center for the preservation and promotion of Italian-American culture. Located in Stone Park, IL, the grounds span over 10 acres and include an Italian-American museum, cultural center, outdoor grotto, and pavilion for events. The Casa is known for its beautiful and homey space, often hosting festive events and celebrations. It is particularly renowned for its painstakingly accurate replica of St. Peter's Basilica, crafted by a father-son team of master craftsmen over the course of 5 years. This model was blessed by Pope Pius XII and exhibited in 37 cities across the country. Casa Italia is dedicated to showcasing Italian-American heritage and history, offering workshops, concerts, and other cultural experiences throughout the year.
