Just got off the phone with corporate, and they recommended I contact my local store to confirm something. I called the Sterling US Cellular and the man I spoke with on the phone was very short with me. When I asked a question, he cut me off and before the conversation was through, he told me bye and hung up. Very poor customer service; it seemed as if me calling was a big nuisance and inconvenience to him. I had the best experience talking to corporate. How unfortunate Sterling's store can't do better.

About four years ago I walked into this store to set up new phone service, and the guy that assisted me set me up with the wrong plan (after trying to up-sell me by lying). I went in a few days later when I realized the error and was told that I had to come back again when he was scheduled to work. I did so a day or two later. He did change the plan to the correct one, but not before trying to up-sell me again. I can't prove it, but I am nothing short of positive he did it on purpose based on his demeanor and response when told what happened. I made the mistake of not calling him out on it right then and there, but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.However, since I was getting a prepaid plan and the original plan he gave me was a postpaid plan, a new account had to be created. Instead of closing the original account, he just made the new one and a month later I get a huge bill for old one. When I asked about it, I was told that the account would be zeroed out and closed, but that it might take a month or so, so I should just disregard any future bills. Which is exactly what I did when I got the next bill a month later. A month after that, the bills stopped coming so I assumed the account had finally been closed.A couple months after that, I get a notice from a debt collector for it, and when telling the debt collector that it was a fraudulent debt, they reached out to US Cellular for "proof of debt", and all I received was a copy of the original invoice. I reached out to US Cellular, but all they told me is that once it goes to collection it's out of their hands. For months afterward, I received multiple calls daily from the debt collector and additional notices threatening to report me to the credit bureaus. Fortunately it never appeared on my credit, but just today I received another notice from a different collection agency for the same thing. I have wasted at least two hours this evening calling the US Cellular store where I initially set up service, calling US Cellular customer service, and chatting with US Cellular customer service online. I have been transferred, put on hold, told I would be called back but wasn't, and just given the runaround. All I've gotten is "you need to talk to someone else" and they give me a number and tell me that it's the "dedicated Fraud debt reporting" number, or the "Financial Services" direct number, but it's just the regular customer service number which is almost completely automated. When I did get through to a human, all I was told is that it's my problem and there is nothing anyone can do since it's already gone to collections.US Cellular, if this goes on my credit report: watch out.

Highly recommend US CELLULAR! I’ve been with them for over 7 years and they have never once done me wrong. Tonight I went in to pay off my sons phone and with the promotion got him a new iPhone. It was easy, smooth and a good time! I forgot my sales ladies name but she’s the absolute sweetest! I would never go anywhere else. They always take such good care of me. Thank you again!

Called into the store to see if they have the new Apple Watch. They said they do. I get here and after a 30minute wait the lady has no idea when they will get them. She was super rude to me, been with us cell for my whole life. Verizon says they have them so I guess it’s time to switch.

Broke my phone,Came in and ask if they fixed phones.Received a rant on how they Only sell new phones and there is No tech in the building that fixes phones. Said I was very sorry to bother and left, went to Verizon and bought a new phone. Very Rude ppl

Here's my fair warning to everybody on Facebook stay away from u.s. cellular I had a plan from them for 14 days and they're trying to say 14 days of services adds up to over $125. They turned me into collections without sending me a revised final bill. said okay that's your fault. the lady who originally set me up screwed me over and now they're screwing me over as well I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter nothing but a bunch of scammers I'll be taking my prepaid phone over to a different company as well...
