The good news is I got a car as scheduled.
The bad news was the misogynistic employee with the gray beard (didn't catch his name). We (myself/29 year old female and my mother) showed up on Saturday right as they opened, with two men in front of us and three men who arrived after us. The employee waved all the men in and quickly served them all first, despite them kindly motioning that we had arrived earlier, plus I have Gold status. Although he was quick to check IDs and hand out keys to all the men no questions asked, he went through every possible option for insurance/accident coverage and told me all the charges I'd be subject to if I declined each option. He also proceeded to take tons of pictures of the car before we got in, though again he didn't do this with any of the men's rental cars. Clearly he thought I was gullible and could be upsold, dumb and didn't understand how rental cars work (again, I have Gold status), or an incompetent lady driver who would immediately crash the car. The fact that he could have tried to upsell me on refueling packages but didn't makes me think it's the latter.
I won't be back.

Worse experience! The manager Jeff is so rude and arrogant! We get a rental Toyota and the charge for another vehicle to my insurance! Please avoid this place

Unknowlegeable staff! Very slow service ! I booked a car and was surprised to get a Nissan kicks that doesn’t fit 4 people with luggage ! I tried to replace but they didn’t have any bigger cars. It’s not recommended at all!

Hate even trying to book through Hertz. Specially St Charles location. They always let you book online only to cancel last minute because they don't have the car you reserved, and want to change to a more expensive vehicle. They won't even offer to cover the difference due to their mistake. Every single time. Never going back.
Recommend Enterprise over this any day.

i am only giving this Hertz branch a 5 Star because of a brief interaction with a staff member named Brandon who made it easy to return a car that I rented and even took care of my ride home by calling an Uber. Brandon is an example of exceptional customer service.The other side of it, i was given an electric car by the person who took care of my rental without being told i was getting an electric car; not a word about how or where to go to charge the car; later found out there is a home charger in the trunk but it didnt work so i must have spent 8 hours of my life getting this car charged in the past 2 weeks. So unless you know your way around electric cars, dont take it.

I rented a vehicle last Monday the 22nd of January 2024 between 5 and 6 pm I returned the vehicle on Monday the 29th before 5 pm and was charged for 8 days of rental ???? And then the woman proceed to count aloud on her fingers how many days I had the car seriously!BOTTOM LINE DONT RENT HERE !!! YOU GET RIPPED OFF !!

Terrible rental experience. Do not go here!Showed up and no cars were prepped for pickups. That was an issue. Then at drop off the office was open but no one was inside. I waited inside trying to call other locations, etc. to get someone. Then she, the manager, drives up. She was out filling cars with gas because no cars were prepped again. I was incredibly late to my appointment. Not apologetic, just rude.

When I went to pick up the car the staff was helpful. Make sure you check with your insurance company to see if they cover a rental. I got no information about this and took out Hertz basic policy which cost me $325.00 for 13 days. When I returned the car and asked about the charges, I did not get an answer but was told curtly that it was up to the insurance company. "Call them". I also got charges for roadside assistance, which I didn't use. They refunded that cost. When I called the St. Charles office, all I got were recordings.

Whenever we need a large vehicle to carry six or more people, this place is my go-to people. There are very professional. Vehicles are always clean, comfortable and well maintained

Do NOT rent from this location! The staff here are rude and unprofessional! Rosalind and Isaiah need training in respect and customer service. I will definitely escalate to corporate, but stay away from this location!
