Expert, trustworthy owners. Truly cared for my F80 in for a new crank hub, performance goodies and dyno tune. I highly recommend Brian and his team; best BMW techs in the Chicagoland area. They went the extra mile and extra hours to get my car back to me 100% perfect.

I’ve been going to Ep3 for around a year and half now. Zack is extremely knowledgeable and has always made sure my car is being done properly. The professionalism at this shop is unmatched and they make sure to have everything installed properly. So far this shop has done the falling installations on my BMW F10:Charge pipeBoost pipeAir induction pipeIntercoolerDownpipeTurbosmart blow off valveElectronic brake bleed on my 7 series brake conversionFront HR sway barRear HR sway barCoiloversTo give an example of how thorough these guys are … after installing my coilovers, they felt there might be a slight thump coming from the front and they took me along for the ride to see if I can hear it as well. They kept my car overnight and worked on it many hours the following day until they got everything dialed in perfectly. They even offered me to bring the car back to adjust the height since it seemed to be a little lower than what I had requested but I ended up loving the ride height.I had 7 series calipers installed on 5 series by another shop that didn’t know how to bleed it properly. My pedal felt spongy and ep3 electronically bled and corrected everything for me.I will continue to bring all my cars to this shop. Thank you Zack and Team.Services: Wheel alignment

The only place I will take my BMWs to from now on! I live in Chicago and will gladly drive all the way over to these guys for any issues. Very honest and humble guys who will not try to scam you or charge you for things you don’t need. Very fast replies and great communication!

I recently had my wheels painted and downpipes installed, along with a tune at this shop, and I can not recommend them highly enough. The process was smooth and easy from start to finish, thanks in large part to Zack, who was my main point of contact throughout the whole process.Zack was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the process and was able to answer all of my questions with ease. He was also incredibly friendly and personable, making the experience not only easy but enjoyable as well. The quality of the work done at this shop is truly exceptional. My wheels look better than ever, and the downpipes have completely transformed the performance of my car. The tune is perfect, and I couldn't be happier with the results.Overall, I had an outstanding experience with this shop and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality work done by friendly and knowledgeable professionals. Thank you to Zack and the entire team for such a fantastic experience!

I am compelled to share my EP3 horror story where I spent $16k for a replacement engine onlyto receive an old engine and still have engine problems to this day.I originally went to EP3 to have my engine fixed after turbo failure. After inspecting, EP3informed me that the engine was good and can be rebuilt. Then a month later, they told me thatthey don’t want to rebuild it and recommended a new engine. They had an engine lined up forme (from a 2015 car, 40k miles). I already waited a month at this point and frustrated, I said toproceed. I paid $4600 and asked for the engine VIN. EP3 did not furnish the VIN for severalweeks. And when they did, I learned that the car was burned in a fire. I went to the shop to take acloser look myself; thankfully, no signs of fire damage. But to be safe, I ordered a bunch ofOEM BMW engine parts and paid to have the cylinder head refreshed. After supplying EP3 with the new parts, the workers informed some of the new parts did not fitthe engine. I ordered the parts for the VIN that EP3 provided, so they had to fit. Was it the wrongVIN?I confronted EP3 on this discrepancy. The owner denied wrongdoing and failed to provide areasonable explanation. I pulled the engine serial number to see what was going on and EP3 toldme that this number does not correlate with any specific car VIN. This was not true as myresource at BMW was able to do this. I was shocked to find that the donor car was a 2011 BMWX5 with 100k miles: four years older and much higher mileage than what I paid for. At thispoint, EP3 told me to contact their legal team. But the car was still at their shop. Finally, after months of waiting, EP3 finished the enginereplacement using the 2011 engine. They told me the car is ready and to pick it up. Shortly after, they called me again to tell me there are issues with the engine. They proceeded to open it,replace the Valvetronic motor, and reassembled. Issue persisted. They opened the engine again toreplace a shaft and it fixed the issue, so I was able to take the car home.Another issue became apparent: the engine was not able to reach operating temp. Replacing thethermostat did not help. I took the car back to EP3 once again where they replaced all thesensors. For 2 weeks, EP3 continued to bleed the coolant. This was ridiculous but I had nochoice, so I waited. When I picked it up, I was shocked to see that the issue was still not fixedafter waiting so long. The car went back to EP3 again, they worked on it for 2 more weeks, toldme it was fixed. And of course, it wasn’t.I learned that there was another thermostat located at the heat exchanger for the automatictransmission. I purchased the part and asked EP3 to replace it. This resolved the issue. I am notsure why EP3 did not consider this until I told them. After picking up the car again, I noticed a very loud knocking noise. A part inside had brokeninto pieces. This part is specific to the older version of my engine and was also installed by EP3.Pieces from this part and metal hardware rattled inside the engine. EP3 was somehow confidentthat there was no extra damage.I then discovered more issue: oil leaks, loose bolts on the oil pan, and stripped threads. Theengine was loud and there was a constant metal ticking noise. To top it off, the Valvetronic issuealso resurfaced. I reached out to EP3 for warranty. The owner refused to work on my car anylonger. After spending $16k, I now have a 70k mile vehicle with a 100k mile engine that is loud andthrows error codes. And even after requesting all parts be saved, I only got back about 20% back. EP3 said that theywere thrown away. I also paid extra to keep my original engine, and I received it with a bunch ofparts missing. After pointing this out, I eventually received more parts but still not all of them. This is all supported by documents and written communication. My goal is not to speak ill ofanyone. I am simply sharing my own unfortunate experience with EP3 in hopes that it may helpsomeone in the future.Services: Engine repair

I was never a customer but had a problem with my Bmw 340i. I had my car at a high end shop and they couldn't figure it out. I took my car and limped it home. Trying to find a specialty Bmw shop I came across ep3. I gave them a call to see if they could fit me in. Unfortunately they were booked out a month. But the guy listened to what I was experiencing and gave me an idea as to what was the problem. I changed all the coils and the vibration went away. Car runs very good now! I have never heard of a shop helping diagnose over the phone to an unknown car. This shop will be the be getting my future business. Thanks!
