wonderful experience there today. this morning i walk right in there i felt the Lord's presence and call this church my home. i felt the very warm welcome into the house of the Lord. Thank you Lord for blessing us the place of Worship.

a woman is not to preach/teach, it is a disgrace.Dear Church, My question is, do you STILL allow women to get on stage and preach or give their testimony, teach, give announcements, sing, Etcetera, Etcetera. Contrary to the Bible? it will save me a trip. Thank you for your answer. And have a blessed day.1 Tim 2:12 (NET)But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man. If you visit the website on Sunday morning you can watch the service online and the really nice part is a prayer request button where you can reach out to someone. I did this and it really helped me. By the way, they have some great support groups and I just learned of a men's study group where you really put your words into action. These smaller groups are where you really get to know others. Even though I am not a member and I don't attend church services, I do attend a support group at this church and I LOVE it! The people I have met here are great listeners and it has taught me to listen better too. I studied religion for my bachelors and they really know their Bible here. The cafe is opened for breakfast/lunch, M-Thursday 8-2, if you happen to be new to the area and want to "investigate", I recommend grabbing a coffee and just strolling around, or do what I did and reach out through the prayer request button and maybe see if you can chat in person with someone. I took the road less traveled and it was a nice way to come about knowing this church better, rather than the typical of just coming for a Sunday service and getting a "vibe". By the way the sanctuary is brand new too, as I learned on my first tour today.

everyone there is full of hatred. they do not care about your child ESPECIALLY if they have even slightly different views than them. it honestly disgusts me.

I came here hoping to be moved spiritually (I was passing into Springfield just recently on a business trip). I found this church to be so big that it is very difficult to grow spiritually. West Side Christian Church is very spiritually dead and the messages are "feel-good," rather than teaching in a way for someone to grow closer with Jesus and the Holy Ghost.If you want to really grow close with Jesus and be a light unto others, I recommend not coming here. Have a blessed day brothers and sisters!Acts 2:1-5, (please read 1 Peter 2:2-3 in conjunction with Hebrews 5:12-14)
