Over the last 6 decades, I've had several pets, none of which ever liked going to the vet. When we picked up our present dog, Emma, 13 1/2 years ago, we decided to go with the vet where her puppy's records were. Several vets are closer to home but found the extra miles are well worth it. We are so pleased that Emma enjoys seeing Dr. Houmas. Drs. Hill & Houmas have a great team.

They are friendly and show genuine concern for Smoke, my cat, Smoke had a difficult life before coming to live with me and he has indicated the Staff and Vets at Westlake are the kindest and most gentle he has ever encountered.

We have a now six month old female Scottish Terrier. It was now time to have her spayed and chipped. Everything couldn’t have gone better. She was very relaxed when we arrived and was giving the assistant much loving. The procedures were completed and she was soon awake and alert with no complications. We have had five Scotties and she’s definitely been the most sedate one. All but her have been extremely active afterwards as they are SUPPOSED to be quiet and NOT running around. Thank you Dr. Janet Hill and your most friendly, competent staff!! We will see you all soon!!

Dr. Houmes and the team at West Lake Animal Hospital are phenomenal! Our dog has anxiety and gets nervous very easily. They always ensure he is happy and fear free. They are wonderful and patient with him, and it's extremely appreciated.

Under covid-19 protocol, so they come out to the car, take your pet in and then the Vet calls you to discuss the concern with the animal. Listen and spend quite a bit of time talking with us, and very helpful!

I love west lake it’s clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable! I take all four of my 4 legged babies here and I will not take them anywhere else, they are a bit pricy if you have as many pets as I do but otherwise it’s reasonable pricing for the service and overall experience you get from the establishment.

I take both of my pups to see the doctors at West Lake. Everyone I have worked with is extremely knowledgeable and respectful. I feel very comfortable leaving my pets alone with the doctors and technicians and I am positive that they only recommend what is truly necessary---They are reasonably priced and offer a wide range of services. You can tell that they care about the animals and are excited to see them at each visit---to see how they have grown and just to give them snuggles! I would not take my pups anywhere else. My family pets have gone to this office for as long as I can remember. Great place, great people and very hygienic!

The folks here are amazing. I have taken my previous dog here, and now take my cat and current dog. I've trusted them with my pets for going on 15 years now, and their compassion and professionalism during routine checkups and emergencies continues to impress me. Not only do they care about their animal patients, but they make sure to take care of us owners as well. Eight years ago, after helping us ease our very old and sick dog into a peaceful and comfortable death, they sent us a sympathy card. My dad kept it on the fridge because he was so touched by it. They've stitched up my cat after he got loose and into a fight with a much bigger animal, and just today they got my pup into an urgent appointment for kennel cough and started him on antibiotics. They're really just wonderful, and I can't imagine going anywhere else.
