My friend, who is recovering from a stroke, went to the Walgreen's on Peoria Rd. and he was treated terribly. He is having some memory issues since the stroke and the employees at this location seem to have no empathy. They always give him a hard time asking his address and other info. He knows the info, but gets flustered and can't remember it right away. The workers have shamed him and then ask him more questions, causing him more stress. This store used to be the best, but in the last two years, has turned into an unfriendly place. They ended up kicking my friend out of the store. He had to go find another pharmacy to fill his prescription. Just can't understand why you would treat people like this when surely you understand that it is your business to deal with people who are not at their best. My own experience in the drive through was I could not reach the rock so I put my money down and the woman stood there looking at it and not moving the money to the inside and my cash blew away. The woman waiting on me rolled her eyes at me. There has to be a better way to do things folks. Have some compassion. I got out and chased my money across the parking lot. (I am a senior citizen). The woman never said a word after I gave her my money she just put the medication in the caddy and sent it out. NO "I am sorry about that" or "have a nice day" or anything. Since I broke my elbow I cannot reach that rock like I used to be able to. What is wrong folks. Seems like a management problem since it has happened recently. Did not used to be like this. Also seem to have a big staff turn over at this store.

The manager Will racially profiled my 15yr old daughter and followed her throughout the store as she looked at nails. I saw him watching her through their mirror, when I asked him why he was following her he lied to me and said he was on lunch and didn’t do that. He wouldn’t tell me his name and went to the back and shut the door on me. The cashier gave me his name.

Currently: the worst. 4-5 years ago with older gentleman pharmacist: great. No issues. Now they constantly run out of medicine even though I regularly go there. Slow. Rude. Facetious staff. Unprofessional pharmacists regardless of who is working considering they've had several new pharmacists every year since the man retired years ago. I drive 20 minutes out of my way to go to the Monroe pharmacy.
