Needed a code for my boundared law. We found one. We liked asked the woman if it was 40% off of that price. Then she took a red pin and marked it up a $100. She said now it's 40% off. It was probably missed marked to begin with but it just seemed kind of strange

The store is very nice and they had a good selection of clothes the staff however was not helpful - I was greeted at the counter and then the man that walked in behind me was greeted and helped while I was told to wait?? Then after I was done shopping and ready to exchange my items I stood waiting again while the same 2 ladies behind the counter were talking and packing items to go - even after another lady working said can you help her they just continued on and that lady ended up helping me and having her customer wait - I guess if I have to have anything from talbots, I'll order it online or go to the Bloomington store. I told those ladies I just started shopping there and was still trying to figure out the sizing, I'm not off to a good start with them at all. MAYBE TALBOTS STAFF IS JUST TOO GOOD FOR ME!!!

I love talbots the store and their clothes etc but their customer service is horrible and its only because we are black yes i say it because my mother and i have shopped in that store since they opened and the old sales people the old manager knew us and were always helpful people but these new people follow us around the store and dont say two words to us. Until mother walks up to the counter to pay on her bill and purchase an armful of clothes. Then she takes my moms payment then proceeds to wait on two more people while we sit and wait for her to rings us up. Me i was livid and decided to take my business across the street to Chico's where by the way the ladies treated us beyond beautifully!! I spent all my money there. My mom is a firm loyal customer since day one she shops there and online religiously.

Took my 83 year old mother-in-law in for pants. I sought out an older salesperson thinking she would be more helpful than the younger ones. Wrong!! She was unfriendly, acted like we were bothering her and never came back to the dressing room to ask how we were doing. The bad experience reminded me why I prefer shopping at Von Maur in Decatur and will never go back to Talbots in Springfield.
