I brought Charlie first as a new patient and continued to take him here for services when needed. It is bit expensive here, but id rather spend a little more for jobs well done. All the staff are always very thorough and personable. Charlie loves coming here! Thank you for helping taking care of Charlie and letting me know and feel that he is safe and care for in the best possible way.

I've been going here for years. I just recently bringing my dogs in for grooming as well and they always look so handsome. Laketown has the best staff in Springfield, hands down.

My grandpa and I brought our dog that had been in a dog fight here. She needed stitches and we were told they would not be able to do that which was okay, we were not upset about having to take her somewhere else but I went to check out and the vet gave my grandpa a bag and said there was pain meds for the dog which we thought would just be medicine to give the dog when she got home. They failed to mention there was an IV bag we had to give the animal ER so we were charged 121 dollars for something they did not give or mention to us. When I called to see if I could bring it back they told me no and that they faxed the ER everything which the ER did not ask us for this IV bag at all. The ER charged us 77 dollars for the same thing so this place is also up charging medicine as well. Very disappointed in this animal “hospital”. I will also add that after I called and was told no to a refund my grandpa went there and they said I told them “we forgot” the IV bag which was not what I had said.

All staff, from office to doctors, are very friendly and accommodating. I moved my dog's care from another office in the area (due to a consolidation) and was not happy at the new place. I was worried because she is older and needed a major operation. Laketown staff and docs handled that and her recovery with care and compassion. My dog has boarded with them a few times and receives regular baths/grooming there. Not one problem and very easy to work with all around.

I recently relocated back to Springfield and had the pleasure of bringing my beloved British Shorthair, Winston, to Laketown Animal Hospital for the first time. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the professionalism and warmth of the staff.
Winston received his annual physical, blood work, and updated vaccines during our visit. The vet noticed a loose front canine and recommended an extraction along with a dental cleaning. The provided estimate was surprisingly reasonable, and I scheduled the procedure without hesitation.
The entire process, from scheduling to surgery day, was seamless and stress-free. The staff went above and beyond to ensure Winston’s comfort and well-being. Thanks to their expertise and care, Winston is now back to his playful self.
I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding service and attention to detail provided by Laketown Animal Hospital. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking top-notch veterinary care for their furry family members.
