This office is outstanding! I had a bad toothache a few weeks before I was traveling through Springfield and my insurance recommended this office. Easy to get an appointment and filled in all my paperwork online. The day of my appointment I was seen on time (when does that ever happen). Turned out I was grinding my teeth so they offered to order me grinding guards and, since I dont live around here, send them to me! What customer service! If I lived here I would definatley be a long term patient!

I've started seeing Dr James McDermott's dad when I was just a girl. When Dr Tom retired and Dr Jim took over, I received the same great care. Recently I had a bad tooth over a holiday weekend. Dr Jim went above and beyond to get me in to see an root canal guy. He even met me in his office on a Saturday! I highly recommend Dr Jim and his entire staff.

I had a rough experience with dentists as a child so I am very particular about where I go and do extensive research. I have been very pleased with all my visits with Dr McDermott! I feel like he is actually checking my teeth and looking for the best route to take so I have them forever. I have not had that before. He and his TEAM are friendly, caring, and courteous - from the receptionist, insurance, hygienist all the way to Dr McDermott! I highly recommend his practice for dentistry.

Great experience with Dr. Jim today! Eased my worries about a potential tooth issue and had me in and out in no time. Very friendly staff and overall exactly what you look for in dental visit. 10/10 would recommend!

Dr McDermott & his staff ROCK! Dr is very down to earth. I’ve got a lot going on in my mouth, and he’s explained everything very well. He’s presented me with options, and I believe he wants what’s best for ME & my situation. He’s also squeezed me into a tight schedule and performed an emergency procedure so I could get cleared for a surgery for something else I had going on.If you’re looking for a dentist, call his office.

Very friendly staff. Dr J is very reasonable. He would do the best he can and dont have very high rates. Usually beat insurance prices.

Dr. Jim and his staff are top-notch in everything they do! I especially love how fantastic they are with my children. Jim cares about his patients, and that leadership shows in every individual that works for/with him. I am very grateful to say he serves 3 generations of the Scheller family!

Went there for my first appointment. During COVID I felt so safe! All of the staff was kind, they got me an appointment in a timely manner and I can honestly say my dentist appointment was a plesant one! HIGHLY recommend

I have been going to this dentist office since I was 9 years old; now 67. Started with Dr. Thomas (father)and now with Dr. James (son) Very good dentists and even better people. Staff members are professional and courteous. You can’t go wrong being a client or finding better people to be friends with.
