I can finally share this review. I’ve had my dress for almost 2 years but finally got married last weekend. I got my dress on a Friday the 13th sale. I wasn’t expecting to find my dream dress this day, but it turns out I did. I was at the sale till the last minute. Katie was wonderful and helped me decide between 3 dresses at the end, where my mom ultimately decided the winner. I absolutely love my dress and hope I find something else to wear it or for in the future. Katie, thanks for making my princess dreams come true. Also special shout out to Katie for offering to steam it the week before the wedding after having it in a bag for 2 years, we couldn’t get the hem to lay straight, and she fixed it in a jiffy.

I loved my experience at Gowns. I had won a gift card back in January 2023 to Gowns, so it was almost certainly going to be where I bought my wedding dress. My wedding wasn’t until October 2024, so I was nervous that it would expire. They assured me that it would be connected to my account until I could use it.
I was also nervous that they wouldn’t have a dress that would look good on a big girl. The girls were amazing with me, and pulled several dresses based on what I liked, and let my bridal party make some selections. Not only did they have multiple options that looked good, I fell in love with the first dress I put on. I tried on several others, but the Bri was IT.
With my gift card, my dress was $7 over the budget I had set my self, which felt like fate.

When my oldest daughter was a freshman we tried other formal places and no one carried size 16. It was heartbreaking for her. While we were in Springfield I looked up formal wear places and saw GOWNS. We walked in and we found several choices for her. My girls are 2 years apart so we’ve had soo many dresses to buy over their highschool and college life. We’ve bought every single one with GOWNS. They are absolutely amazing. Katie is the kindest most boss lady ever and we love what they’ve done for our plus size girls. Thank you for giving sizes and confidence! We love you guys!

I worked with Bailey to find my gown and I wanted to say how incredible she was to work with. I felt like she genuinely cared about my experience and she was so helpful. I was able to find the perfect dress for me and a fantastic price to boot! I highly recommend this boutique!

I had such a wonderful experience wedding dress shopping at Gowns! The staff is very friendly, Rayna did an amazing job at picking out dresses for me to try on that fit my vibe and preferences. I found my dream dress!

1000/10 experience! Gowns was the fourth bridal store I had been to and I can say the experience was leagues above the other shops! Katie was my consultant (and another consultant, Cailey assisted). The best hype team while also being totally honest, they were both people that made you feel so comfortable as if you were lifelong friends already.As a plus size bride - the dress selection was amazing! I’m between a 20-22 and I had a consultant at a DIFFERENT shop try to shove me into a size 8 because that’s what their samples were ?. But at Gowns they had a HUGE selection of dresses my size and above to try! It felt amazing to actually see what the dress was meant to look like in my size body and be comfortable.The thing about me? Im so indecisive and they embraced my back and forth for such a long time without making me feel pressured. That was 2 months ago and yesterday I went in in a bit of a panic that I had picked the wrong dress. Well the same 2 saved the day. They immediately pulled my dress to let me put it on again, went back into hyping me up while still acknowledging my concerns, and even extended my time to let me try on other dresses again to see just why I picked the one that I did!I know this is a long review but I just want Everyone considering this shop to know that I’ve never been made more comfortable or felt more supported in this kind of situation. It’s so apparent that Katie and her employees really care about you and your experience so much and will do what it takes to make you happy. Could not recommend this place enough!

We are returning customers who were impressed with the selection and service of this place last year, and were hoping to have the same experience again this year - but we are disappointed. If anything else, what we experienced was discrimination. Firstly, the sales associate put my daughter's prom dress in a long plastic bag instead of the garment bag which was hanging next to her. I HAD TO ASK if she can put the dress in the garment bag like she DID with the other customer's prom dress. I could tell she was not happy that I asked. Secondly, my daughter was not asked to have her picture taken, unlike the previous customer which was ushered back for picture taking, after paying for her dress. I know that having your picture taken after buying the dress is a promotional practice because we experienced this last year when my daughter bought her prom dress.While we were happy with the dress, the discriminatory experience that happened to us on February 17, 2023 eclipsed all the nice experiences we had at this place.

All around very pleased going here. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. They make time for everyone in the store even when super busy like today, When I went there it was amazing! They had more space in their store since last being in there.Oh and they have dresses for all shapes and sizes of women which is hard to find in most stores. I’ve bought both of my prom dresses from here now and personally would do it 1000 more times!! Highly recommend.

Had an absolute amazing experience shopping for my wedding gown. I said yes to the dress at my first appointment and fell head over heels with my gown. Katie was phenomenal and accommodated not just my wants and needs but my sisters as well who was there helping me decide. I never once felt pushed to buy something or like I needed to hurry along. Everything was explained in detail and I wouldn’t change the experience at all! I’m now even more excited for my upcoming wedding!

I’ve been here a handful of times and each time was an amazing experience. The stylist are super nice and helpful. They have a great range of sizes and beautiful gowns. I picked out about 10-12 gowns and they helped me in and out of all of them. They listened to what I wanted and didn’t pressure me into anything I didn’t want. 10/10 recommend this place!
