I would have to agree with Jordon N. If I could give zero I would too. They're great when you're buying the car. Then if you have an issue, in my case the parts department, you can't get them to call you back, you call and ask to speak to a manager and after they transfer the call the phone rings and rings and nobody picks up. I will never purchase another car at Friendly Chevrolet

I would give 0 stars if I could. If you are looking for the worst service in the Springfield area look no further. I first noticed issues with my gfs transmission in her Chevy spark on the 16th of August. Called Chevy 4 times in 2 days and never got a call back. Had it diagnosed at one stop in Sherman and they were able to get to it quickly and determine trans was bad. It was covered by a GM warranty and had to be towed to Chevy on the 23rd. Said they might be able to get to it Friday but most likely next week. We asked for a loaner or rental and they said they don't do that. Found out from a coworker that had service a couple months prior that she was given a loaner. Called Chevy and they said only if you buy your car here. She did not buy her car from them. Another week goes by and they diagnose trans and say we might have it finished before labor day weekend. It was not finished before the weekend and that when we decided we had enough. I called GM warranty customer service and they told us that Chevy HAS TO provide a rental. I called Chevy and told them this and 2 hours later I got a call back saying a rental would be ready AFTER Labor Day weekend. Told us her car would be ready Weds. Got the rental Tues. Car wasn't fixed until that weekend. They had her car over 2 weeks and only provided a rental when we told the GM said that have to. Completely unprofessional and unaccommodating. We will be going any other Chevy facility after this experience even if it's our our way. There is a reason they only have a 2 star average rating.

Took car in for burning excessive oil. They troubleshoot it and said a gasket was to blame. They replaced the gasket even though I told them there was no oil on the ground. $500 later the car still burns 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles. When I asked them if they checked for burning excessive oil they said they did not. Don't bend over at this place!

Seems there are a lot of rude and unethical sales people that work here. A lot of similar complaints from several people too. My husband wrote his review, let’s see if Bill Lynch, GM; will respond this time. Mr Lynch, Your name caught my eye because it’s the same as my dad, but he was an honest upstanding man that a simple handshake meant his word. It’s a shame that your staff doesn’t believe in customer service and you should be embarrassed and appalled that Friendly Chevrolet doesn’t live up to its name. Tobin Pride actually did us a favor by selling the van out from under us. We ended up getting a better deal somewhere else that very same day.

The sales staff is extremely ruthless with no ethics whatsoever. We had an appointment to test drive a van at noon this past Saturday. We were driving from St. Louis just to see this van and had cash to purchase. We decided to go early and got there a little after 9am. When we showed up we asked for our salesman, Tobin Pride. Another salesman said that Tobin was on a test drive. We told him that we had an appt to se a van. He said “ Oh you’re the ones that were supposed to be here at noon” we of course said yes but we were early. He says “actually Tobin is on a test drive now with the van you were going to see” he then went on to say “ I told a friend that if you’re interested in this van, you better come in right away, someone else is coming in at noon to buy it”. At 8:59 Tobin sent an email to confirm our appt, one minute later at 9:00 he sends another email that it sold. When we complained he said “first come first serve “. Yes, I agree. However using us as leverage to get someone else in to buy it is unethical to say the least, especially sine we drove almost 2 hours to see it. The ethical thing to do would have been to confirm our appointment and let the “friend” wait. But they are “ used car salesmen “ and that should tell you something. When I tried to complain to Tobin on Facebook, he blocked me. They even put a pic of the van with the buyer on their FB page, congratulating him, with a comment by him “thanks for the tip”. When I put an angry emoji on the post they then deleted the post. THIS IS NOT AN ETHICAL place you want to do business. PS We also offered to buy the van for 1500 more than their asking price, but of course the “ salesman’s friend” took precedence, with no response from Tobin Pride.

Purchased a 2022 Chevy Equinox today! Thank you Derik Hymans for working with us in a timely and professional manner. I would highly recommend Friendly Chevrolet.

Extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism I encountered towards the end of my tour checking out and comparing cars that would be a right fit for me. The beginning atmosphere I had with some of the team members was friendly and upbeat when showing me a few cars that I would possibly be interested in. The last car I test drove towards the end of the night, I took to my husband to make sure he liked it as well and the car ended up not being the right fit for everything we wanted overall. After test driving and comparing cars all day that this company had to offer I decided to take a break and possibly come back another day to see what other inventory that might come in the future. After being on my feet all day I was tired and ready to go home with telling the salesmen that I haven't found the right fit and I wanted a few days to think it over. With that being said the attitude and mannerisms had changed in the salesmen and started receiving backlash over my credit score not being the "best" and being ridiculed over my source of income. Being in my mid 20's I'm still trying to build credit but I presumed they would work with what I had to offer and point me in the best direction possible that would satisfy both parties. As a young woman that is 7 months pregnant I would like to be vigilant on my decision making process to make sure I'm getting the best arrangement that would fit my family in the safest and most budget friendly way. It really goes to show you that one employee can change way I felt about this dealership and most likely won't be returning for future purchases.

Poor customer service and extremely poor communication when dealing with having to replace a transmission on a van I purchased from them after having owned the van for only 45 days! Avoided any contact and only discussed the issue when I would come in. If they told me from the moment I came in they were not going to do much for me it would have been better than what they did which is make it seem as though they were trying to find some kind of solution. Hid behind the fact that a service contract wasn’t purchased even though one wasn’t offered. Buyer beware. Have all vehicles personally inspected by a mechanic and force them to offer you a service contract so they can be held accountable for selling you lemons!!!

I had a great experience here. I didn’t feel pressured or hassled one bit. The process was so quick for me to get into my new car and everyone was so friendly! I highly recommend this place!

I was a customer of Friendly Chevy for years. However Green Dodge had a different type of feel than Friendly Chevy. To be honest with you I now see the people at Friendly Chevy to be very rude, pushy, and not taking the time to show me more than just 2 trucks. I was literally left in the middle of a showing by the salesman and he left me to go help another customer because he "had an appointment". I stood there looking stupid for 30 minutes without being acknowledged. When I

Buyer beware!!!! Run, run away.I was screwed on my purchase. After only 3 months the frame has busted off. I will take some blame for not laying on the ground & looking ALL OVER. I was transfixed with their smooth salesmanship.

Service Dept. Review The actual service on the vehicle was fine. It was completed ahead of estimated time and a loaner vehicle was provided and appreciated. The individual service manager and the technicians did their jobs and were polite and if my interaction ended there this would probably be a 3 or 4 star review. However, there were at least two issues, one minor and one major that are bothering me. The minor one being - and I assume this is standard - being charged a $115 diagnostic/evaluation charge when I stated the exact problem I wanted addressed. Again, I'm guessing it's some standard practice so it's no big deal. The cost of the part and labor was right where it should have been. The part I am displeased with was the complete dismissal by the service department manager (assumption)/"the boss" who refused to even discuss a payment plan. Wasn't looking for a years deferred payments or anything, simply half down and remainder in a week when the next paycheck comes in. Normally wouldn't ask for it, but these aren't normal times due to the COVID-19 shutdown. If that's their stance, fine but the dismissive wave of the hand wasn't cool. Won't be back for service or for purchases in the future.
