Absolutely the best veterinary care. For twenty years, Dr Ward and Dr Kirk have given the most exemplary care and kindness to our furry pet family. They are good to people too:) I cannot say enough about the outstanding quality of care, professionalism, and deep heart with which the work is done at this clinic.

My family has utilized Brewer's services for over 40 years. Dr. Brewer, Thornburg and now Dr Ward have been wonderful, caring vets. All three truly care about the health and well-being of all the animals they service. To me, they are just as concerned about our pets as we are. A special kudos to Dr Ward. We have a soon (next month) to be 13 year old lab who has many tumors and has arthritis. In November of 2019 she was passing blood in her urine. Dr Ward prescribed antibiotics which clears her up. The blood returned in February while we were wintering in Az. I called and spoke with Dr Ward. She did some research and called back advising she would call in a script to Walgreens. Since they are based in Illinois, they could fill the script. I say this is above and beyond. I don't know how other Vets would have handled the situation, but I have a feeling they would have referred me to an Az Vet. Several family members and friends use the services of Brewer and I have never heard a negative word spoken about them. Thank you Brewer Animal Hospital for being there to care for our four legged loved ones.

I saw Dr. Kiley when my dogs were sick and Dr. Kiley did a great job. The office staff was good. My dogs appreciated the care that they received there. I found her really easy to talk to. I saw Dr. Kirk once when Dr. Kiley was not available and he took good care of my dog and I thought he cared about my dog. I found the experience there to be a good one and they seemed to care about the two dogs I brought in. The office was professional.

Pretty incompetent and apathetic, unfortunately. We were passing through Springfield on our way to fly out to Germany. We are bringing our dogs to Germany, so we needed a vet to fill out a health certificate and then for the USDA office to endorse it before we could fly out. We went to the vet and gave them all our dogs' records and explained what we needed (we were mistakenly under the impression that this vet had filled out travel health certificates before. We didn't know how common it was). First they came in saying our dogs needed to be microchipped and get rabies shots, even though their records show that they've been microchipped for years and they JUST got a rabies booster. After getting that sorted out and getting the dogs physicals, the vet took the forms into the back to fill them out. She came out about 20 minutes later and handed them to us, saying we were all set. Then we took the forms straight to the USDA office across town to have them endorsed. But the USDA said the vet didn't follow the instructions on the form, and didn't even sign it! So back to the vet we go to get the forms re-filled out (correctly) and to have them actually signed. After an hour they brought the forms back to the front and said we were good to go again. Back to the USDA office. But this time the USDA said that one of my dog's rabies certificate was missing. Only one was attached to the form. We called the vet and they said they don't have it "because they're not the ones who gave him the shot". We tried to explain multiple times that we are not requesting a copy of the certificate, that they HAVE the certificate. They weren't getting it. So BACK to the vet we go, for the third time. This time we had to wait at the front re-explaining what happened until finally someone went into the back and looked through the trash for it. Lo and behold it was, in fact, in their trash can. Ended up wasting half our day because of their incompetence and apathy. The vet acted like she had much better things to do than fill out our form, and this was evident in the fact that she didn't follow directions, didn't fill it out, and didn't even notice that she threw away a key certificate that was part of it. At least it was only $178 total. The price could have been worse.

We are lucky to have Brewer Animal Hospital so close to us. Not many vets competently treat rabbits, considered an exotic pet, but Dr. Ward is a member of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. Dr. Ward is a cimpssionate care provider for our bunny. We recommend the practice without hesitation The staff is friendly and shares the conern of the doctors for the welfare of our pets.

Our relationship started in the summer of 1988 with Dr. Brewer. We've lived a lifetime with the Doctors and staff here. The docs are excellent diagnosticians and compassionate they've seen us through many joys and sorrows. I trust them explicitly with our dogs, cats & we've even brought in the occasional guide pig, rabbit & gerbils over the years. Boarding our pups here gives us peace of mind when we have to be away.
