To preface, We started coming to this clinic over 15 years ago when we had a hard time getting our dog in to be seen by our regular vet during an emergency. This clinic was Sangamon Ave Vet Clinic at the time and they were able to work him in the next day in between appointments. A week ago, Tuesday we took our older dog that is 15 years old in for a wellness visit and received some new flea medication to give him. We gave him the medication and two days later he developed diarrhea and threw up everything he was eating. This continued from Thursday night until Monday morning , when I called to try to get him in to be examined. I told them of my concerns with his age and the fact that he can't hold anything down since Thursday night. That didn't matter, they said they couldn't get him in until the next week, I expressed my displeasure with this, especially since he was 15 and I felt like he was going down fast. I called another vet to get him in and they couldn't squeeze him in but did offer me a suggestion as to an urgent care clinic on the south end of town which I was not aware of. I did get him in there and they took very good care of him, we found he was going into renal failure and likely would not get better. Why Coble couldn't offer an alternative suggestion let alone try to squeeze us in since we've been taking two dogs there for over 15 years is beyond me. Sad to say, but we will be looking for another vet hopefully a little more caring than what this office has become. My displeasure is not with any of the doctors in the office, but rather the front office. Seems they have no compassion for your needs.

They take the best care of my Dallas and their sister ER clinic is there when they're closed. Love the staff as well

I have been a client of Coble animal Hospital for over 20 years! Today, my little Angel Bear Paw Paw was showing signs of a urinary track infection. Dr. Smith was so kind to work us in her busy schedule and allowed a urinary sample to be checked and within an hour I got a phone call from her and the results that my little dog had a urinary track infection. She then had a prescription for me to pick up. Dr. Smith went beyond and above today to help my little friend thank you so much Dr. Smith! Initially I spoke with Emily to get the ball rolling and Everett and Angie completed all necessary paperwork and check out! It is reassuring to know that this veterinary continues the high level of quality care for all animals that come into their establishment! The doctors and the staff at Coble Animal Hospital are A Blessing for my little Angel Bear Paw Paw and myself! A veterinary staff that puts their hearts in ALL they do! Thanks Ever So Much!!!

We had an emergency a week ago - our perfectly healthy 5 year boxer collapsed in our yard, not breathing at 5:15pm. We initially were going to take her to the er, but that was a 20 minute drive and we knew she wouldn't make it. We called this vet, only minutes from our house, in a panic. They met us at the door and rushed her straight back. Unfortunately, we lost her. The staff stayed late and gave us as much time as we needed with her. They were very kind, compassionate, and empathetic. We can't thank them enough. We appreciate everything they did for us.

My dog has been going to Coble for about 13 years. They are now trying to charge outrageous fees for basic sevices since they moved to Sangamon. Very disappointed. Refuses to email my dog's immunization records to me since I am taking her to APL to get immunize.Terrible way to treat clients!

I had a kitten in for a new patient visit. The doctor took a swab from her ears to check for mites and then left me in the exam room for 45 minutes. I finally got fed up and went to check out. Apparently the microscope wasn’t working right but nobody bothered to tell me and ask if I wanted to wait for results or have them call later. Then they gave me a $1200 estimate for spaying her. Needless to say, I did not have them spay her. It was better as Sangamon Avenue. Coble is crazy expensive.

We LOVED Coble BEFORE their switch to Sangamon. The customer service is lacking and harried. Getting a recheck after worms were found was blown off and ignored. The vets are super!!! But the front desk is lacking. They have zero follow thru, lack of communication and just arrogant. I found a new vet by several reviews. When I requested records, the front desk assured they would be sent. (Didn’t happen). I’m so sorry that Coble is just not the same. Front desk needs a re-haul.

Extremely disappointed in the behavior of the representative that took my call. I was calling to set up a neuter for my dog and when I asked what vaccines are required besides his rabies before surgery she literally laughed at me on the phone and then proceeded to tell me what vaccines are required before surgery. Super disheartening to have been treated that way as I always spoke highly of this establishment to other people locally. I guess when a dog parent wants education on what his dog is being injected with that's funny. I will not be utilizing them in the future.

I'm a new client, I brought in my kitten for a checkup. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and our visit was quick and efficient. I have no complaints!
