CEFCU does not help their customers at all, they are worse than a bank. I had a mortgage with CEFCU and I first tried to get a second mortgage with them on the house which they said I didnt have enough equity in the house this was in 2018. That is fine, but then about 1 year later I was having problems keeping up with the house. After calling them they said they would work with me to doing a short sale, or other options, this was the last time I actually taked to a non-recording of a person until 2023.I would call on my lunch break, then they would call back when I was at work and leave messages. In this time I had to organize getting an inspector to my house for a house valuation or something, which the first person just didnt show up. So I had to call back, and they said that person didn't want to do it, they would have to get another one. The only reason I found out about this is by calling them, they didnt call me. The house valuation took over 8 months, and this was for a mortgage in-lieu of deed. After that, they ruled that i could sell it as a short sale, by letter... when I told them I couldn't sell it. After about another 2 months, They sent me another letter saying they would do a mortgage in-lieu of deed but I would still owe half of the mortgage, but that would just be straight unsecured debt, and they said this was the last they would talk to me about it, all through mail. After this I only received letters and lawyer stuff about foreclosure. I ended with me declaring bankruptcy, and CEFCU foreclosing, then canceling the foreclosure, then just leaving the property with a huge lein on it. So, if you ever get a mortgage, don't get it from CEFCU, they will make it a mission to not communicate, and make your already hard time even harder.

Gave me a loan after trying to overdraft an account at a different bank. And they dident even tell me I had a loan until 2 weeks after I got it. I only found out because a lady called to tell me I owed them when I never approved of said loan.

Worst experience in two years of having a business account with them. Rude , less informed, don’t know what they’re doing , have always to go ask questions to a lady in the office back there, ignorant. Like east of time. Did I say they’re really rude? I closed my business account with them. Horrible place.

Horrible place nothing but problems and issues since I started banking here wanted me to come inside withdraw $3,000 even though I'm a known customer that comes in every week but the store was closed for another 5 minutes they told me I needed to wait ridiculous won't be back we'll take all of my money somewhere else I suggest you guys do the same

The woman Drive up teller was really rude. I was not aware that a certain policy had changed and she snapped at me, rude tone and rolled her eyes. Not sure what I did for that reaction, I simply asked a question. I’ve had similar experiences multiple times for no rhyme or reason. This is why I closed my accounts and moved elsewhere.

Likes to say it’s about customer service/care, but will treat you like trash, and talk down to you, the second you actually need assistance.Rules are one thing, but there is no reason to talk so down to people when explaining. Been with you guys for a long time, but sadly I think it’s time to rethink that.

I had to make some changes on an account & the personal banker in auto loans could not have been nicer. She was very polite, respectful & professional. The tellers have been great at this location as well.Highly recommended.

Horrible online/mobile banking!! Horrible customer service!! When you call, you will be on hold for a life time and then transferred multiple times with no help! They do not have any modern features! They have no way to track their data! The app needs a good update! What’s funny is they just updated it recently! I had gotten an auto loan through them because they had the lowest interest rates. Little did I know I would be paying that back in fees just trying to make my monthly payments on time. The only real good way to bank with them is to go in person to a branch. Their staff is always accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately, I had moved to a different part of the state. Now I’m screwed!
