My hair came out to the scalp. I was bald. When I asked the woman to fix it she told me she couldn’t. I walked around for months having to wear a wig and was very heartbroken.

Hair came out so bad!! I'm bald almost! My feelings are hurt. will not return. When I asked the girl to fix it she said she couldn't.

I had an appointment with the stylist named Debria. Though she was kind, I left this salon feeling very unsatisfied with her service. I have natural hair and I assumed the stylist knew how to deal with it. I had a gelled down ponytail and she said your hair is matted, which wasn’t true. She then began to detangle my hair while it was dry…. She shampooed my hair good then she put I believe a deep conditioner in my hair but she did not detangle my hair with conditioner on for slippage she just had me sit at the bowl with a shower cap on for about ten minutes. My hair had not been detangled and she began blow drying and it was the most horrible experience ever getting my hair blow dried it was not gentle at all. I also got burned on the forehead with the blow dryer. When the stylist combed my hair she used a medium sized comb and small comb on my hair and combed my hair from root to end causing excruciating pain. I was honestly so ready to go I wanted to ask her to stop in the middle of it, but I allowed her to finish. I let her cut an inch of my hair and the ends look bad still and there is a huge gap in my hair in the back on the end.She did my hair and I paid what was asked but it was not worth the $100.00 at all. This stylist may work for older women with permed hair but no natural hair I would not recommend at all. This was my first and last visit to Shear Design salon.

I LOVE Shear Designs II Hair Salon! I have always had a very positive experience. The salon environment is professionally run, comfortable, and clean. My stylist, Debria, is my miracle worker who makes magic happen to my thick and coily hair. After decades of relying on relaxers to tame my hair, I was VERY reluctant to give it up. Debria encouraged me through challenging transition process. She has the expertise, hair care products, and styling tools to maintain the health of my hair and give me the styles that I desire. Debria is attentive, caring, and committed to satisfying her clients. I highly recommend Debria and have referred many people to her... including my mother.

It was my first time in the shop. Angelina is amazing! She really took the time to shampoo and deep condition my hair. My scalp is very thankful and my hair feels healthier. It was very clean in the shop and the vibe and energy was positive!

I normally see Paula, the owner, when I come in, but she’s on maternity leave. So I was serviced by another stylist, Pauline. I needed a braid down for under my wigs. Pauline is not a braider, but she was more than willing to accommodate my request. Her and the other ladies in the salon are always willing to stretch their skills to meet the needs of their clients.
I would highly recommend Shear Designs but would love to see another braider added to the team or someone who specializes in wigs and/or weaves.

I was a client of Paula on March 14th 2020 I don't usually don't get my hair done but I wanted to do something different with my hair for my birthday I went to the salon for a consultation on March 13th, instead of Paula scheduling my consultation at a time that we could speak since she was going to style my hair her sister Pauline consulted with me I wanted color and a ponytail my hair color is a deep wine color I brought my hair to consultation as I was instructed.my appointment was at 9am Paula started on me right away I was Paula only client until 2pm I sat in her salon for 7 hours first she needed time to get my color corrected because the color she intially put in hair was mahogany which is nothing close to the deep wine color I desired so I suggested to Paula to try Jazzing Cherry Cola on my hair to see if that would work it didn't then Paula consulted with one of her stylist who instructed her to purchase a color correction and cancel out the mahogany in my hair and pull the red out like I desired by this time all I wanted to do is get out of this shop. Paula gets back from store and starts to correct my hair color it was successful l took a deep breath now all she has to do is style it. I sat in Paula's chair to get styled Paula had already turned on her flat Irons she starts to blow dry my hair and then starts to flat iron my hair as soon as she begins to put the flat irons through my hair she literally burns out an entire section of my hair I really didn't know how to respond my objective was not to over react because hair does grow back but at this time my heart ? and mind was completely overwhelmed my hair is natural for over ten years my hair in on my shoulder and In the back my hair is a past my neck and even though Paula told me right away that she burned out my hair Paula failed to express the severity of how much hair had been burnt out Paula offered some of my money back I didn't take it because I felt she used her equipment and product on my hair she should get paid as well as she gave me product to strengthen my hair. Paula and her shop are nice I would have love to have had a better experience but I won't be coming back to Shear Design 2 unless I'm seeing another stylist my experience with Paula was horrible. I didn't get out of her shop until 3:45 from 9 am my whole day was gone. Unbelievable ?

I had an amazing first experience! The ladies are very friendly and professional. Yvette did my hair, she gave me a hair cut and she did a fabulous job, I left that salon feeling super pretty! I haven't been this satisfied leaving a hair salon in a long time. I definitely will be back! My hair is still looking good! Love this place!

Angelina is lovely and knowledgeable. I learned about her skills from a friend and saw pictures of her hairstyles. She's great with natural hair care and great with customizing coloring shades.
